I saw one for sale today, regular retail price, snapped it up, didn't care for it much, not bad, not great, how rare is it?

It's pretty available, though I don't think there are too many discounters that have it.

Funny you mentioned getting rid of it, as I did too. It was the first niche bottle I ever bought, and I was very happy with it when I bought it, but somehow grew disenchanted with it.

    Should have bought Santal Noble.

Curious, do you have the 100ML. bottle or the 90ML. bottle? New or old?
Don't panic. Just stay calm, and reload....

Funny - Iris Bleu Gris was something I bought blind a few years back, and was disgusted with the minute I tried it. I sold off the bottle. It wasn't until I revisited it a couple of years later that I came to appreciate its quality. I wound up buying a second bottle, which I will not be letting go of. As a matter of fact, I just wore Iris Bleu Gris to a religious ceremony this past weekend.

I bought it blind and I'm happy too. It's characteristically very MPG!
If you think about it, most MPG scents are indeed unusual and not very easy to like by many.
IBG is part of what I like to call "The Dirty Three." It's in the same group as Route du Vetiver and Parfum D'Habit. These are the three full bottles I chose to buy.

I bought mine when it first came out at South Coast Mesa (Nordstrom) in Ca.and I don't remember the size but do remember it in a traditional MPG standard-issue bottle.

I'd say it's pretty doggone rare. For example, I live in a major American metropolitan area and it's not sold here. I have a bottle, and I don't imagine another half-dozen people in the nearest two million have bottles, but if they do we probably won't cross paths.

    So I'd say it's rare.

Is it rare in the sense of a commodity that's going to appreciate in value? Probably not by much in the near future. Since you got it in an auction the price you paid for it is probably it's value.
That girl, that bottle, that mattress and me.
