    Default A Reference Iris?

Which fragrance most closely resembles pure iris root butter?

Also, on a related note: does Prada's Infusion D'Iris smell like iris? Luca Turin's guide says that it doesn't...and I don't know enough about the pure scent to say either way. I do, however, know that I like it

Based on my experience with the butter, The Different Companys Bois d'Iris is the closest to pure iris root butter, with MPGs Iris Bleu Gris a close second.

Hey - I like IdI too. And there's something the same in all these "iris" scents to my nose. I just assumed it was the iris. Bois d'Iris, Infusion d'Iris, Infusion d'Homme, etc. It's good, and I like it.

Bois d'Iris is very enjoyable. Glad you think that's the one, zztop.

I agree with Bois d'Iris. Dior homme is a better constructed perfume, though - the iris note in Bois fades terribly quickly. But the first 10 minutes are heaven.

I know you asked for one fragrance to use as a reference point but you'll get a better understanding of iris with an exploration of several scents.

I couldn't agree more and I'd add L'Artisan Iris Pallida, Miller Harris Terre d'Iris and Prada Iris (the first one, not Infusion d'Iris).
