Default Wearing a scent to sleep?

Does anyone do this? I love spraying some Davidoff Adventure on me and my pillow before sleeping. Gives me a chance to actually enjoy it, due to its terrible sillage and longevity.

most of my reviews are done after I've come home, taken a shower, and prepared for bed. It is at this sanguine time that I can fully focus on the "experience" of a fragrance, and it also helps me to get an idea of longevity by seeing how much scent still clings to me when I wake up in the morning... not to mention my girlfriend loves how I fill up the bedroom with aroma when we lay down.

It's strange that I can still smell Adventure on me in the morning, but it hardly lasts during the day.

Some of my favorites to wear to sleep are L'Occitane Eau de L'Occitan and The Body Shop White Musk for Men - both have lavender.

I've not done the pillow-spray but I regularly spritz or annoint myself before bed. Lately I've been alternating between Madini Ambar Gris with a spritz or 2 of Balmain's Ambre Gris, or Tam Dao with a bit of Avignon. I find sandalwood and frankincense together to be sooooo comforting and relaxing.

Not unless I'm after a bit of action between the sheets. Otherwise I don't see the point in wasting it!!

I shower and wear a fragrance every night before going to bed. My wife calls me Dr. Smellgood.....and she is correct.

Wasting it? Who the hell am I saving it for?

I wear a scent to sleep every night (my go-to is Shalimar (the EdC) by Guerlain).

I don't spray the pillows, since fabric tends to retain the smell for a LONG time and I don't want to smell the scent for that long, considering I might switch to another scent the next day.

Last night I sprayed on Voleur de Roses (my melancholy fragrance) and then Fumerie Turque and Avignon on the backs of my hands.

Ditto Mike. I wear something different every night. It also gives me an opportunity to try samples I have accumulated.

I'll often spritz Hermés EdOV or Mugler Cologne before retiring for the night.

Maybe something a bit sexier if I intend to be, er, a bit sexier.

I sometimes wear Tea for Two to bed. Occasionally, Penhaligon's Endymion or Royal Scottish Lavender. Or Montale's Aoud Damascus.

Usually, I just enjoy the basenotes of the morning's selection.

And every now and then, I will test something at bed time to get an initial impression.

Rare is the night when I don't go through the ritual of assessing my day in the shower, deciding the right frame of mind to get a good night sleep to either savor or erase the events of the day, then choosing the perfect fragrance to achieve that effect.

Last night Czech & Speake Cuba was just the ticket.

I occaisionally wear L'Occitane Vetyver to bed. I don't think it particularly helps me sleep, but I do find it a relaxing scent, so maybe it does.

Wearing a scent to sleep would be rather unlikely in my case, since I have no experience with that whatsoever. And yet... some of the scents I love and wear give me, if worn shortly before I go to sleep or linger strongly, even into the night, after a previous application, such a balanced, inspiring, pleasant physical, emotional, intellectual etc. state that, indirectly, my overall well- being is so great I actually (among other things) sleep better and wake up more relaxed.

Occasionally I'll spritz or dab something on before hitting the hay. GIT smells damn good in the morning. Avignon and Kyoto are solid choices as well. I find them rather calming and meditative.

No Rive Gauche pH in this thread yet? It's amazing. You should try it. So creamy it's comforting.

Also Black XS seems to work pretty well for me too.

RGpH reminds me too much of early morning toiletries.

Let me echo those who mentioned Mugler Cologne. Despite its sharp initial presentation, it's great to go to bed by, I think because it's reminiscent of fresh laundry.

When I want something softer and sweeter I reach for my giant bottle of Pierre Cardin EDC. It owes much to BdP, but the Cardin is cheap enough to wear as often as I want.

My hands are pretty rough so I use Aesop heavy-scented hand cream before I retire to bed. The hand cream unfortunately sort of clashes with any scent which I might want to wear to sleep. Fortunately Aesop makes some of the most divine-smelling stuff and that orange-scented cream helps to lure me to sleep quickly.
