I tend to reject the summer/winter classification insofar as fragrances seem to forced into one category or the other. In the summer here in Texas everything is air conditioned to the max, thus obviating the need to shelve orientals and gourmands. True, citrus fragrances are more 'refreshing' in the summer, but there's no reason one can't wear them year round. As for Equipage, I don't think it really fits into either the cold weather/hot weather box easily. It's tobacoo/woody, but not particularly heavy. I wore it throughout this past winter, but I don't think it would be oppressive in hot weather, either.

On me, Equipage is versatile enough for anytime wear. I don't find it a heavy frag and its longevity is about 3 hours tops.

If I had to choose WHEN to wear this, it would be spring / summer so heavier clothing wouldn't cloak the pleasantness of this scent.

Unless it was an absolute scorcher, I think you can wear this anywhere and anytime. Given its moderate longevity, I often use this as an evening fragrance.

3 hours? hmm.. that was not much.... The CHANEL PM-55 is better than that..

Yea...I know....and I have the vintage formulation. I haven't tried the new version, but original Equipage lasts about 3 hours on my skin.

I really enjoy the scent and the only reason I don't buy more is because it doesn't last long enough or project like I would like it to.
