    Hermès
    Calèche Fleurs de Méditerranée
    (2003)
    Jean-Claude Ellena

Notes: Moroccan Mimosa, Turkish Rose, Egyptian Jasmine, Beeswax Absolute, Heliotrope

A limited edition, this is a beautiful composition based on mimosa, rose, and jasmine with beeswax absolute and heliotrope. The mimosa's floral note is slightly green, lending a bit of freshness to this rather rich fragrance; the beeswax gives depth and a gently animalic touch, while the heliotrope contributes the gourmand redolence of almonds and cherry pie. It is definitely an opus of elegance and style, deep and reassuring. Ellena's genius for making a great deal of a minimal set of ingredients is amply evident here.

    Chanel's Sycomore ... Layered 2/3 .... to 1/3 SCP's Vanille-Mocha.

It works !... well it does to my nose anyway ! ... It transforms up the Sycomore nicely, for a change. The vetiver-vanilla-coffee/choc is a good combination, I think !.

    Mitsouko by Guerlain

I love the vintage edc of Mitsouko very much and so I was very curious to try the modern edt. It's still as lovely as ever, the loveliest peace note in a perfume. And one of the greatest perfume ever made. Strangely, its the edc which has more potency over the modern frag. Now, the parfum awaits me.

    Creed Silver Mountain Water

I am anticipating that this fragrance, although somewhat cliché to some, might make an excellent all around play in my wardrobe. It is very refreshing, exudes a certain sense of Creed refinement, and would work quite well in the hot Houston summers or for that matter, play out very well in more formal occasions.

I certainly hope that this fragrance demonstrates the longevity that other Creeds sometimes do not.

    Everyone have a Great Sunday!
