Default Best of the Cool Water series

Which of the Davidoff's Cool Waters is the best to get for someone who has never had any? My definition of best is the terms of scent, sillage, and longevity. Some of them are available through online purchase but I don't have the luxury of trying them myself.

Another thing, I don't mind if it's too similar with another fragrance.

    Thanks.

My favorite would be CW frozen, but it has absolutely no longevity on me. 3 hours max.

I forgot to mention that I live in a tropical country with high humidity. That would worsen the longevity (but improve sillage), right?

IMO, hot weather help to keep the longevity longer than cold weather.
So far I only try Cool Water Game, it smell nice, like pineapple, similar to the open of CK's Euphoria but stronger however the dry down is not as interesting as Euphoria. Longevity is about 6+ hours

The original will always be tops for me, just my personal opinioin: the rest seem a little redundant

Hey, that would be a question for SirSlarty, hu?

Well, I love the original and really like all its summer versions (freeze me, happy summer, cool summer, summer fizz). all of them add just a citrussy touch to the original.

Game, Deep etc are not at all to my likeniig.

Agreed. Nothing beats the original..lasts quite a while on me. CW Deep is not too bad but fails in terms of sillage and longevity even in hot weather.

This is a little like voting for the prettiest hobo. However, I very rarely find that deviations from the original work that well. If in doubt go to the source

the more moisturised your skin, the better the scent stays on, but i think when it comes to humidity where im from, it turns sour instead coz of the inevitable, sweat inducing weather.

Zilang , imo the best mainstream flankers are from ck. esp ck one and eternity summer. they nvr fail to disappoint me in consecutive years...you may want to give them a try if CW doesnt work out. all the best

I've got the original and frozen, I think I like frozen better. Maybe it's just the bottle I'm so fond of though.

Believe me, tropical (or even any kind of) humidity improves longevity. I live in a humid tropical climate.

I sure am glad to be mistaken in this issue. Thanks a lot. I guess I need to be more careful spraying the Kouros.

I'm almost positive that this isn't true. Humidity will make your sillage better, but heat and humidity drastically reduce your longevity. The sweat and heat aid in the evaporation of the sweat. So, while yes you are going to increase your sillage it will wear off much faster than in cooler weather.

    Edit: Sorry quoted wrong quote.

Frozen and Cool Summer are the only ones that I've found worthy of a bottle. Frozen reminds me of the original but better, and Cool Summer is what would happen if YSL's Live Jazz and Frozen were thrown in a blender. I was wholly unimpressed when sampling the original; however, when I sampled Cool Water, it was in the new bottle. Maybe the reformulation rumors were correct...
