A very reasonably priced "men's" frag that is excellent and features a wearable jasmine note (to me) is the original Lalique (Lion). I will also wear Samsara, but so far not in public. LOL.

Fleur de Louis by Arquiste has a nice smooth blend of Orange Blossom, Florentine Orris,
    Jasmine and Cedar wood.
It has the best qualities of the white flowers plus more substance than the usual of this genre.

To me Mona di Orio Oiro is a quite unisex jasmin bomb where green-indolic indian jasmin is balanced by woods in a dry chypre background.

Thumbs up Re: Jasmine fragrances for men?

I believe that a man who wears a Jasmine-dominant scent is one who is secure in his masculinity himself. My favorite such scent is Norma Kamali Jazmín EDP. Yes, I wear it... infrequently, and sparingly. One bottle is enough for several lifetimes.

Here's what Chandler Burr had to say about Jasmine (1/2008):

Jasmine is a sado-masochistic, slothful, dirty little flower. You can (and everyone does) dress it up and make it presentable before sending it out in public, but basically the stuff in its natural state is an unwashed beast wearing dirty underwear and stinking from its armpits. Jasmine is a flower that has an asshole, and you can smell it. It's the indoles.

    Smooth shaving!

Turin made a somewhat similar comment in his review of Diptyque's Olene, which was my favorite jasmine before being reformulated. I think Tom Ford's Jasmine Rouge is the closest analogue of the vintage Olene.

It's my favorite representative of the "smoky jasmine" type. The Third Man is also quite good, though to my nose it has a strong clove note that you need to be okay with.

    Amouage Reflection Man.

Reflection Man by Amouage is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance for men. Top notes are rosemary, pimento and rose de mai; middle notes are orris root, jasmine and neroli; base notes are sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver and cedar.

I personally like smelling Jasmine on girls, I find its too feminine IMO.
Mogra or Jasmine Sambac is a different story and can easily worn by men.
I have a Mogra attar , Javedu powder ( Mogra , Sandal, civet) and Fleur du Male.

Casual for Men by Paul Sebastian is probably one of the only masculine scents that can pull of jasmine well, that I have tried.. unfortunately it is too musky for my liking.

Resurrection of a long dead thread.

I sniffed SMN's Jasmine the other day and thought that I wouldn't mind wearing a light application in warm weather.

Amouage Reflection Man is very masculine smelling jasmine. Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge, on the other hand, is very feminine.

I think Jasmin et Cigarette is very good and seems to be to be unisex, if not classically masculine.

+1 on Sl Sarrasins. A full dose of indoles and leather.

Perfect jasmine for man to wear. BTW, some the most dueling, gambling, hard-riding (horses), womanising men in history wore jasmine.

Is it 'suitable for men' as you asked for irrbloss? That is for you to decide. This man wears it confidently.

I recently purchased Nautica Classic -- not the first time I've owned this, but the first time I realized there floral heart is primarily jasmine. Although I feel it blends well with the lime, woods, patchouli, aldehydes, musk, and other floral notes. I do enjoy this scent quite a bit, it's sort of a guilty pleasure, one that I always keep rebuying, even though I promise myself I won't buy it again, because.. it just doesn't do much. Projection is poor, longevity is weak, but damn, it smells great. Clean, soapy, floral, aldehyidic. I recommend checking it out if you love jasmine.

Fleur du Male is a good Mogra/ Jasmine Sambac scent , not typical Jasmine but its a very good ones and lasts and projects well.
