Default Octavian & Denyse on French radio!

Listen to Octavian Coifan (of 1000fragrances), Denyse Beaulieu (of Grain de Musc), and Bertrand Duchaufour of L'Artisan Parfumeur discussing perfume culture, criticism, and other aspects of the industry. On "Service Public" (France Inter):

The podcast is available for download (only today!), or else you can listen to the show as a live stream (nine days only). In French, obviously.

Podcast one day only - what a shame.
But that's not you! Thanks for the alert, Marcello!

I'm reading on a regular basis Octavian's Coifan blog and I have a deep respect for his work. He's Romanian, by the way

I assume you also know his Romanian blog?

I've had the pleasure of meeting Octavian in Paris two years ago, and he's a truly remarkable person. He's fluent in French and Italian, and knows more about modern perfume history than anyone else I can think of. An ISIPCA graduate and member of the Société Française des Parfumeurs, he had already written two or three books on perfumery a couple of years earlier. I'd been following his blog from the start; when we met, I was under the impression that he was fully dedicated to perfumery. That is until he casually told me that he also teaches Architecture in Bucharest. Mind you, he was still in his late twenties!

Yes, I know his romanian blog.
I didn't know he's so young! And so much knowledge! Amazing! He's in the "genius people" category in my opinion.

Thank you so much for the alert. I have just listened to the program.

Did anyone out there get a podcast download?

I would gladly trade a yummy sample of perfume to someone who could burn me a copy of this.

PM if you can help me out!

I was dying to call in and tell them how my vintage Diroissmo smells next to my new one!!!!!

Octavian and Denyse were fantastic, just fantastic.

What I got from the download is a RealPlayer metafile (.ram), which is not a "stand alone" file (so if I send it to you, it won't work on your computer). Unfortunately, I don't have the required Premium feature to burn the "hidden" audio data to a CD.

Yes, same for me. I listened with a Realtime player program, which is streamed.

To be able to get a copy I will ned to find someone who subscribed to the podcast. Once it is in iTunes (or wherever) it can be burned to a CD.
    Thanks!

Perhaps it will be available for download once it is archived and no longer "A la carte."

Just saw on Grain de Musc that Denyse is teaching a 3-day primer course on perfumery in London in early August. AND it's open to all.
