Curious because I purchased a bottle of Diorling, in Paris, at the Dior boutique in May of 2000. At the time, I didn't know much about the scent and bought it just because it was unique to me and I liked the way it tested. The box is in the Dior signature black and white houndstooth check, with a pale yellow oval on the front where the name "Diorling" is inscribed. The bottle is a 1.7 ounce splash (eau de toilette) with the houndstooth pattern repeated on the label going around the bottle and on the cap. There is a little plastic stopper with a hole in it inside the neck of the bottle, presumably to prevent spillage of the entire contents at one go.

I haven't experienced the vintage Diorling, so I would not know what the differences are or to what extent it was reformulated. I do love what I have here - it's not a blatant leather scent on me, more an aldehydic floral with a noticeable leather undertone. So, friends - I'm assuming this is the newer formula - right or wrong?
