Default Canali for Men and Black Diamond - how's the projection?

I just purchased the regular Canali for Men and the edp Black Diamond, and absolutely love both of them. I had read elsewhere that they have great projection but it seems like they wear pretty close to the skin. . at least from two days of wearing it seems that way.

How many sprays do you use of each and what is your experience with projection and sillage on these refined beauties?

I own the original Canali and find it's projection and longevity are both quite good.

I love it for cooler weather. I've said before, on me it kind of wears like a light version of Prada Amber pour Homme.

I own both as well, but was disappointed by the lack of strength of the EDP (Black Diamond). It stays around for a while on my skin, but I don't think the projection is that great,

I think the idea behind Canali's fragrances was to create scents that are subtitle and sophisticated.

Many here make the mistake that if a fragrance is marketed as "Eau de Parfume" it is going to be powerful and project sillage.

That is not the case with every fragrance - the strength and make up of a scent is based on the esthetic's of that particular house the fragrance is going to represent.
