Thanks Kumquat and all the other Azuree lovers for inspiring a lemming. I am wearing my new vintage bottle and it is mossy green perfection. A summery leather... who knew? I think I would have hated this a year ago, but after trying and living with and falling in love with Yatagan (sometimes too dry), Cabochard (lovely and charry, but more herbal than leather), No. 19 edp (a trifle too sparkly and elegant sometimes), and Bandit edp (occasionally too harsh), I think I've found the porridge that's just right for me. It reminds me of Aramis, but I like this much better and it has a very Antaeus-esque vibe--the softness, the mossy drydown, the floral leather--but I think this will be the Antaeus pour l'Ete this spring and summer for me. Very glad to have discovered this remarkable fragrance.
    I offer you perfume,

    You perfume perfume.

I'm so glad we inspired you to try the golden oldie. I am still amazed that this one is as good as it ever was. We are so lucky to have it. When I wore it the other day, I realized it has a beautiful soft jasmine note that lingers, too. It is really versatile & never boring. Have fun with that one, Antaeus!

One of my fave green scents is Roxana Illuminated Perfume's Greenwitch. I bought a tiny bottle last spring and then sprung for a full bottle because it was so perfectly green. Love the oakmoss in the base!

Envy by Gucci is my absolute favorite green spring floral...and I usually don't like florals. I think that you can still find it online.

Oh yes, Kumquat, I feel your appetite for spring... however many green scents are tricky for me.
I'm head over heels in love with Sous le Vent. Mitsouko (preferably the extrait) is mostly a spring thing for me. Roja Dove's Diaghilev fits in here as well for me (although little green per se), although this is on the verge to summer already. Wo would mind on a winter's night such as tonight where -20 C are forecast.

Not at all! Thank You Kumquat. This is a lovely thread. Lots of ideas here.

Have you tried Any Tauers Verdant? An odd thing really, but as green as ivy.....

Oh, and also Lez Nez, The Unicorn Spell....

My newest and greenest bottles for the incoming spring: No.19 Poudre / 31 Rue Cambon.
Both feminine, but unisex enough for me to enjoy and even wear to work.

Pierre Balmain Vent Vert, Sisley Eau de Campagne, Chanel Cristalle, Chanel Bel Respiro and YSL Y, are some of my favorites. There are so many nice green fragrances out there I can't wait for spring.

Azuree is tops on my list lately too. I keep thinking about it and I've been meaning to stop by the mall to get one. Maybe tomorrow. If I get there early it won't be too awful (I HATE the mall - mostly the traffic which is horrendous).

I thought I might like No. 19 Poudré for spring/summer but I think I'm changing my mind. But I may change it back again.

One nice thing about Azuree, I think it is still pretty cheap, isn't it? It should be around $45 or so.

Makes perfect sense to revive this thread.

I recently made peace with Silences. I just didn't get it 2 years ago and stuck it in the back of the cabinet- now I admire it's bitter greenness and hope I am woman enough to do it justice.

Yes, that's the nice thing about EL classics.

Silences is a bargain, too. I gave mine away, though. It was a touch too austere for me but I can see why people love it. Like Knit, I may change my mind about it some day.

Ok, Kumquat, you little enabler, I did it. I bought Azuree today. It was $42 for 2 oz. This HAS to have been reformulated, as it seems pretty tame, and I'm not picking up much leather, but I like it. It has a dry, astringency that I liked in Aromatics Elixir, but I just couldn't make AE my own. I never wore the old version of Azuree so I'm happy with this. I'll have to live with it and see how it wears on me.

Curses!! Reformulated? This is what I have feared for a while. I knew it was too good to be true. Maybe the bottle I bought a while back had been sitting around for a while and was really an older bottle. Well, in any case, I hope you can still get some green pleasure out of it. Keep us posted.

Well I'm not really sure. I don't have the old to compare side by side, and this one seemed to go through a blah mid-stage, not bad just a little boring, but now that it's been two hours or so on my skin it is really good. I think I was expecting more of a leather bomb, but I don't think Azuree was ever like Cabochard in that regard. So I'm not really qualified to judge, but I think it is still good jus.

I think I will get most use out of Silences when visiting Dad in the Arizona heat, as I hate sweetie scents in that dry desert heat .

Well that sounds promising. No, Cabochard was much drier than Azuree. I wouldn't really expect Az to be that dry.

That makes sense. The rose would be just enough sweetness and the bitter greens would be cool/refreshing.

Hours later, I could not stop sniffing my wrist. It is soooo nice, and I'm very glad I finally broke down and brought a bottle home. It is old-style, so you have to give it that time to develop on skin, like glowing embers.

There are a few updates to mention. One is a welcome re formulation to MDCI-Une Coeur en Mai. Believe it or not, this re formulation is BETTER THAN the original. Softer, less strident and all around prettier.
