I haven't had the pleasure of trying Kouros yet but it seems to be a very popular fragrance around BN. However I can't believe you would use it in every one of those situations!!! that would be obsessive to say the least...

Do you have a fragrance/fragrances in mind for each of the settings you've described? I rather enjoyed this thread.

    Hi Anthony,
I'm fairly new to BN and I have just started to really delve into the deep well of fragrances, compiling lists of which fragrances I would like to test or buy. I only own a few up to now and I presume from there reviews on BN that there not totally popular, Joop Homme (cough) .

Can't wait to test some new lines and maybe one day put up a list here of which I would use and where!!!!

It has been very interesting so far reading the responses because these are very personal choices!!

I'm not a Joop! hater, myself.. but if you enjoy it, Creed Original Santal seems a "step up" in my opinion. I'm actively seeking it out, in fact, as I've been able to overcome the sweetness and really enjoy it.

Have fun on your journey testing and sampling - it's very addictive and, for me, has become a great hobby!

Strangely enough it is the only fragrance that I would use for sports or in the gym due its brilliant sillage and sweet but warm texture.

Dune parfum and Un Jardin en Mediteranée come to mind. Possibly Diorissimo. This one depends on temperature very much to me.

sat in front of the fireplace on a cold wintry day reading a good book
    Ambre Sultan, Black Cashmere.

Whipping down a long straight road on a chopper motor bike (oh yeh!)
    Aoud Cuir d'Arabie, L'Heure Bleue.

going into a job interview !!!!
Something that wears close to the skin -- maybe a touch of Shalimar parfum.

    getting married
    Mitsouko parfum.

hitting the gym to pump some iron
I think I've worn a bit of something before but I can't think what at the moment. I actually find it pretty inconsiderate when people wear scent to the gym. It's a confined space, and the heat and sweat amplify the fragrance. And this coming from a true scent lover.

laying on a hammock watching the stars on an open sky
    Le Parfum de Thérèse.

By the sea, enjoying the pure and peaceful wind, I prefer enjoying the nature scent.
Job interview: maybe a pleasant scent, not too strong, maybe Dior homme sport or Diptique's Tamdao.
Getting married: agree with Mathewfoo :P
Gym: I prefer not wearing any perfume.
Star gazing: I will choose Mukhalat by Montale

going into a job interview !!!!- Pour Monsieur

getting married- hard to tell, maybe I might consider: BDP or ADP Colonia

hitting the gym to pump some iron- nothing

laying on a hammock watching the stars on an open sky- Nightflight

Driving your vintage Jag or Bentley- Floris No. 89, or even more likely either Blenheim Bouquet or Opus 1870 by Penhaligon's

Swashbuckling sword action against your adversary- Guerlain Heritage or Hermes Rocabar

going into a job interview - Prada Amber pour homme (very clean fragrance, non offensive, but professional)

getting married - I wouldn't. Get married again that is. So it's a non-sequitur. But if I were to make such a dumbass mistake again I'd wear either Helmut Lang EDC or 3rd Man by Caron.

hitting the gym to pump some iron - Sarah Jessica Parker, Lovely (not for any other reason that it appeals to my sense of humour)

    On a side note:

I could answer all of the questions with Tauer's L'Air Du Desert Marocain.

I can all but guarantee many BNers will agree.

By the way, I love this thread.
