Default Pick what you would wear from this list...

OK, I've got a presentation / meeting Monday at 11am with a bunch of miserable old construction engineer types, to persuade them to renew a maintenance contract with my company. I do IT / Project and Contract Management not actual building work!

Now usually I'd pick a perfume based on my mood but having recently joined this site and now giving much more thought to the effects of frangrance on others, I'm asking for your pick of my list of what you'd wear to this meeting. I'm wearing black trousers, black plain top and a grey suit jacket, black shoes and a slightly funky black bag with white roses. I'm very pale with dark brown bobbed hair.

It's likely to be quite stuffily hot here in London.

I'm not prone to flirting as a meeting tactic but I'm not a ball breaker either.

    So, your choice is...

    Aromatics Elixir (in moderation)
    Chloe (old version)
    Escada
Casmir (OK not serious about that as a choice unless you think different)
    So De La Renta
    Pleasures
Pleasures Delight (maybe they like desserts?)
Bulgari Green Tea (or whatever it's called)

    Your advice gratefully anticipated

Hmm.. I'd go with Oscar de La Renta it's fun but also perfect for a business,

most people link this scent to glamorous evening gowns but I think it would

work just fine with a business suit (it would also compliment your bag)

and I too have pale skin and short brown hair and I think Oscar de la Renta

goes together perfectly with my looks

    PS

    Hope your meeting goes great

I think I would go for the Bvlgari, particularly if it's going to be hot and stuffy. You need something that you know will smell terrific and won't risk distracting people from what you have to say.

I will caveat that though by saying that the last time I did an interview and got the job it was on a hot summer's day and I wore a single spray of full-strength Kingdom having put the wrong bottle in my briefcase. If you're going to be somewhere air-conditioned then you could go for a small spray of something stronger.

I'm also in favour of Bvlgari Green Tea. It's fresh -- to avoid stuffiness -- and not too overt or overpowering. Professional, I'd say!

    Good luck!

I would go with the Bvlgari as well, because of the heat. The Pleasures Delight sounds interesting (in moderation) if most of the crowd are men. Men like desserts, eh?

Bvlgari, if you are playing it cool.

I work with construction types/ contractors all the time. I am not above implementing womanly charms, though; I might go for the Chloe.

Joining the Bulgari chorus: great for a warm day, yet it always feels polished and professional to me.

What I would wear: the Bvlgari. Echoing everyone else's thoughts, it's cool, clean, and professional.

Add another vote for Bulgari. However, my experience is that men love the old Chloe (in moderation).

I would definitely go with the Chloe original. It is warm, floral, has a touch of sweetness, and men have always given me lovely comments on it. I am prone to flirting, do it very well actually, so let this fragrance wink for you.
    Good luck

I've gotta give my vote to Pleasures Delight, because I think you want to be warm and approachable, not reserved and cool (i.e. not the Bvlgari). Not too much, mind you, if its warm.

    Bulgari, refreshing and sophisticated.

Can't go wrong with either Bulgari or Pleasures. Let us know what your choice was!

I pick Bulgari Green Tea also. It is actually quite floral and has a touch of subdued leather and tobacco due to the tea accord. It reminds me of Parfum d'Empire Osmanthus Interdite with extra citrus on top. I think it is a great warm weather and office scent.

Bulgari or Pleasures Delight - same as someone above mentioned, might work to sweeten up a roomful of grumpy Londoners (or is that an impossibility?).

My vote is also Bulgari or just a tad of Pleasures Delight. Bulgari because it can offend no one, and Pleasures Delight because it's sweet and might keep the mood sweet. I also like the original Chloe, but my first choice would be Pleasures Delight. Anyway, whatever you wear, good luck on your presentation! I hope it goes well for you.
