Default Difference in Black Aoud vs Black Aoud with extra oil

    hello
I recently tried Black Aoud and have to admit its one of my favorites
I was just thinking whats the difference between the standard version and the one with extra oil "shot" and if its worth the option

    anyone care to share?
    thanks!

I can only speak on the White and Red , with extra. Very rich smelling.

It's denser/heavier. Like cmax said, "very rich smelling" would aptly describe it.

Longevity and sillage aren't much different, as they are both such monsters in both categories.

    it is the same scent.
it doesnt become another scent like L'instant d'Guerlain and L'instant extreem.

it becomes richer, heavier... more longivity... less sillage because of the extra oil.

    more oil meen less sillage.
more alcohol means allot of sillage and less longivity.

Black Aoud is already hugely potent as is -- I don't understand why would someone want to add to that.

    Just for fun

In India the wether is hot.
In Holland where i live the wether is cold , wet and horrible.
Perfumes loses the sillage here because the cold wether.
So some extra concentration can help.

Judging from my regular Aoud Lime versus the enriched version:

The fragrance character is the same in both. And traces of both can clearly be smelled the next day. As to sillage - I often wondered how people can estimate the size of their own sillage trail. I can only detect the sillage of others wearing perfume, and in a case like this you would have to ask two persons to wear one version each and meet you in...say about an hour ?

    ps:
If I had to live among the windmills and practically on water I would take my spray can of Montale wherever I go! - Welcome back, moreda!

You're probably right. The reason of my question was -- the added oils may risk unbalancing the fragrance. I have a decant of Red Aoud with extra concentration and it's a bit too much for me when sprayed. I tried dabbing it -- and it works much better for me

    Thanx my friend

the thing is, because of the cold wether, my skin doesnt get warm enough
to warm the perfume oil. So that means less sillage.

If u spray on your arms than u will be abble to detect the sillage
