Today, it's the rubbery goodness that is Bulgari Black. I don't love the vanilla dry down, but a quick spray later in the day brings back the smoking tires.

Well, so I worked out this morning and put HRS on afterwards. A situation to wear this fragrance doesn't get any more sporty than this, eh?

Nonetheless, I am still coming to terms with this one. The 'fresh' note in this is straight out of deodorant/body spray territory. Seriously.

Equipage. Plus a coupla blasts of Jolie Madame on one wrist. Originally I was just trying to recall what the Jolie smelled like, but I'm leaving it on, it's a really nice surprise having it weave in and out of the Equipage.

Wow this is nice. A sweet mint, like Roadster, with none of the watery/aquatic notes. An herbal/shiso leaf accord mixes perfectly with the mint and then the dry down smells like you're in a hothouse full of bamboo and sugarcane.

A most successful blind buy - I must say.

    Eau de Lalilque again.
Not much sillage for sure, but a very nice aura.

And this evening I tried YSL's La Nuit de L'Homme, got a sampler.
I have not much references (I just don't care much about orientals), so I can only say that it smells very ordinary to me: musk, wood, amber and vanilla.
    Way too sweet and perfumy
Although I generally hate vanilla on my skin, I can say this one actually has a good quality vanilla note, definitely not as neaseating and sticky like Bue Jeans, still a lot sweeter as a Gucci Envy though.
    Not for me.

Today's SOTD is my test of another new Dr. Vranjes extrait, Gigember Estragon.

Like the other two I tried, this one also feels like it would be more at home as a soap or a hand cream. Thankfully, that does mean that it's nowhere near as weird as a could be, from the name.

The top was mint and lime (nowhere near the gross-out of yesterday's mint/orange opening), with a hint of ginger. Any taragon present was registered mainly as a fresh green spiciness, not as bernaise sauce.

The base, like yesterday's, is that orangey clover they use in candles.

Nice, but nothing that strikes me as being too special.
