Default I need your opinions on a few fragrances...

I've read as many threads as I could find on these, but I'd like your updated thoughts and opinions on the following fragrances that I've been considering:

    1. Chanel PM Concentree
    2. Patou PH
    3. Maxim's PH
    4. Bond No. 9 Harrod's For Him
    5. Bond No. 9 Saks Fifth Avenue For Him

    Thanks!

dead boring fougere with this bizarre deep fried star anise that makes me feel sticky. Harrods for her, so much better.

From this list, No3 is king in my book.

I have the first three and love them all.

Thanks for your input, keep it coming! I took a chance and made a blind buy for the Maxim's -- I've heard good things so I hope I like it.

I'd love to try the first two, but Patou PH is extremely expensive (even for a small decant) and the Chanel seems to be very hard to find. Oh well...

The only one I've sampled is Sak's for him, it was rather unpleasant to me, kind of a harsh synthetic incense, I usually like some incense frags, but this one just grated on me, wouldn't recommend it.

I can only say about Pour Monsieur Concentree that it is... simply stunning.

Actually Jacques Polge created PM Concentree in 1989 at the same time he created Tiffany for Men. Which to acquire? Preferences.

If you prefer a fragrance to wear close to the skin, go with PM Concentree. As for me, PM Concentree just does not have enough longevity or projection. That is why I strongly prefer Tiffany for Men.

Saks Fifth Avenue for Him, when I sampled it was remarkably similar to D&G The One. I would strongly suggest that you sample D&G The One before dropping the big dollars on Saks Fifth Avenue for Him.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Good Luck!

Thumbs up Re: I need your opinions on a few fragrances...

Seems like I'm talking about Pour Monsieur in threads a lot this evening. Yes, PMC is outstanding and women love it. No brainer in my book. It's high class and for the "gentleman" type (not as in old, but as in intelligent and well dressed).

    1. Chanel PM Concentree - Polge did it again, this time, under the Tiffany for Men name. Chanel is tad better, IMO; a little more complex than TfM.

    3. Maxim's PH - Wonderful, get it while you can. On the vein of vintage Antaeus, deeper and more complex.

Can't express opinions on the rest, I havn't tried them.
