Please, allow me to bust your bubble, N Tesla....

I just got a bottle of this, and unloaded it like a hot potato. I consider it an over-the-top synthetic, woody musk, with a more-than-palatable dose of the old mixed drink accord. I found it utterly noxious and mortally potent; its stink emanated from its little box like an open bottle of nail varnish remover. The dry down phase, from a great distance ( from the next room, actually) revealed some of the complexity its adherents espouse, but it was nothing noteworthy, IMO. If you know what Elle by YSL smells like, imagine smelling it through a veil of new car plastic and rubbing alcohol. There you go.

    That said, perfectly unisex.

i remember sampling it once (on skin) in a mall...i would like to re-test it soon. i do remember it had a very confusing (chaotic) top note, which didnt go well with me...but allow this scent to settle down it morphs into a incredibly beautiful scent. it's on the fresher side, musky, woody with a tinge of green and aldehydes. Perles de Lalique has a very calm and soothing effect on me. i would say this is quite underrated and deserves a sampling, at the least.

on other hidden gem from this line is the Eau de Lalique. it's marketed as feminine...but boy o boy, if you like slightly floral, powdery warm woody orientals, then look no further. this ones a sillage mesmeriser.

Honestly, I've only seen this picture online. I think it may be the deluxe crystal bottle, as opposed to the regular one. Lalique seems to do that...
