Diesel Zero Plus. A strong, powdery cinnamon. A little too much cinnamon IMO, but I have friends who love it.

Some good suggestions so far, although I don't smell cinnamon in Givenchy Gentleman. Two I would add are: Fahrenheit, if you want to smell like the clothes of an auto mechanic at the end of the day combined with some cinnamon oil; and Lorenzo Villoresi's Incensi if you want to smell like cinnamony apple pie in an old Roman Catholic church.

I disagree with Musc Ravageur and Baie de Genevrier, I think these are about other notes by a lot. Musc Ravageur being musc and medicinal vanilla, baie de genevrier just something else, note sure what

The most awesome, absolutely life-shattering one would be... AMBRE NARGUILE! By Hermes, part of the Hermessence series. Very expensive, you can find 10ml for 70$ on Ebay. I got lucky, got 8ml for about 40$ and it was awesome all along.

If you like cinnamon... think of coming close to a place that cooks cinnamon muffins in the morning. But with some manliness in it, somehow. That's ambre narguile. It's a gourmand that doesn't make you sick as it isn't too sweet. It is just spicy in a dessert kind of way. I very very highly recommend it, I can't imagine anyone not liking it.

Juniper. It's definitely based around the juniper, the cinnamon and vetiver just help to round it out.

Rousse instantly came to mind. I dislike it though. Cinnamon / cassis and orange. Yuck.

I also swapped off CDG's Cinnamon, which I find to be a light soapy ephemeral cinnamon and woods -- unrecommended.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost

Jacomo De Jacomo Is FANTASTIC! It gets grief for being inexpensive sometimes. Very masculine frag with a lot to offer if you like the notes...and it seems you do. Strong but not terribly aggressive scent. There was recently a thread on the Jacomos being overlooked. There were some good comments on it there. Look into it, like you said, it's affordable.

Fear not, sir...I have had a bottle of Jacomo de Jacomo in my collection since 1988 when my big brother introduced me to it, and he had worn it extensively from 1982 through 1994. Heck, I still remember finding it at discount shops pre-dot.com-era as well as seeing it at finer stores like Madigan's and Marshall Fields!!

I'm gonna look for that thread......

P.S. As weird as it sounds, I like to have the smell of JdJ around whenever I may be under the weather. Something about that patchouli/clove herbal feel and the creamy cinnamon soothes my ills.

    Cheers!

Costes sounds pretty good. Cinnamon and bay leaf are a great combination.

You might want to check out Bois de Turquie as it has some similar notes, cinnamon, myrrh, incense, bay leaf, orange flower, jasmine, geranium, etc.

I really think this scent deserves more recognition around here!

Definitely try this! Spezie de Medici EDP by i Profumi di Firenze.

Notes: Cinnamon, cayenne, cardamom, clove, ginger.

Luscious Cargo (at least) sells it. I don't own it but had a sample of this--cinnamon is the lead note. Take it from the Spicemeister. However, I can't remember whether it lasts or not.

On second thought, it depends on how hardcore you like your spices. You say you want a cinnamon BASED scent. That's why I didn't buy this--because it's really straight spice, though it smells really really good for that!--because I like my spice balanced with some wood, citrus etc. I guess I could always get this and do the layering thing.

I was going to mention Dunhill Edition, but that's nutmeg, isn't it. Still, one of the best of all time, in my opinion.
