Default Gucci No. 1 - What to expect?

    Hi ladies!

I happened to lay my hands on a bottle of this, and since it is discontinued and unused, I donīt want to open and try. Are any of you familiar with it - is it similar to anything particular, is it very feminine..? If you look at my wardrobe you can see I very much like a lot of "female" scents.

I have found very few reviews on this one. Please help.

    Thanks,
    Pelle

Here's a pretty good source for notes: http://www.perfumeintelligence.co.uk.../g/g4/g4p5.htm

It's their signature fragrance & it's a green/floral aldehyde. If it hasn't gone off, it should be lovely. Go for it & tell us what you think! I would like to know, too.

When I first started collecting fragrances, Gucci Parfum 1 was one of my early "coups" on ebay. I won a bottle of the parfum for a great price. It is a Guy Robert creation, and to my nose shares a family resemblance to vintage Madame Rochas and Amouage Gold, although I believe in parfum it is a little warmer than those two. I had a most unfortunate accident with my parfum, however. It fell off the shelf and spilled onto the bedroom carpet. My bedroom smelled wonderfully for years! I tried replacing the parfum with EDP, but sadly the EDP is really nothing like the parfum to my nose. It lacks the richness and intensity that made the parfum special. You don't post what concentration your bottle it, but if it is the parfum I think you're in for a treat.
