Eau de Fier by Annick Goutal smells like that a little to me.

Yes, I agree. Go on the Diptyque website and read the backstory. The fragrance was directly inspired by the smell of cigarette smoke.

Another vote for the beautiful Volute edt. And don't forget Phaedon's cigarette name Tabac Rouge.

Now that you mention it, and I'm not a smoker, but I loved the smell of Clove cigarettes when lit. Very sweet. Would love a scent that smelled like that.

Michael Kors for men will do that job admirably.

Yes, I've heard Michael has an ashtray vibe. Will try this one too.

Try Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d'Orange. It's an interesting take on cigarette smell, with light white flowery sweetness (jasmine and apricot) - which is what you may have picked up on.

My first choice would be Histoires de Parfums Ambrarem. It greatly reminded me of cigarette smoke. Second choice is l'Artisan Tea For Two (although it's discontinued).

Perhaps also the budget brand Tabac Original (1959) - a rather old-school tobacco-leather fragrance, but not too harsh nor powerhouse to my nose, in fact moderately sweet, spicy and quite clove-dominated.

Serge Lutens' „Fumerie Turque“ is reminiscent of the smell of lit pipe tobacco, sweet-ish and rich. It is quite distinct from the scent of lit cigarette, though, but might fit the bill nevertheless.

Volutes has a great Turkish cigarette vibe. It's a bit like the tobacco component of Fumerie Turque without the deeper notes. To my nose, Mona di Orio's Cuir smells like lit French tobacco, the rough kind.
