Not much of a citrus guy, but i reach for my huge bottle of CK1 when the mood strikes me.

I get a lot of lemon out of Penhaligon's Douro. Acqua Di Parma - Meditteraneo Arancia Di Capri is really nice. I think Mark Birley as well.
Not much of a citrus guy, but i reach for my huge bottle of CK1 when the mood strikes me.
Haven't seen it mentioned so I'm going to throw in Adolfo Dominguez' Agua Fresca into the mix. Tart citrus, a tad soapy. A more "refined" version of Spanish cologne (like a guys' Nenuco hehe). One of the best for me 'coz its so easy to wear. One for my no-brainer days when I don't want to over complicate my SOTD choosing. I re-apply several times a day too, and this isn't cloying (only has average longevity so it's ok).
Going to get Monsieur Balmain from these posts too. Too bad my source doesn't have testers, I'm going to have to blind buy it.
Have good memories of Lacoste Eau de Sport Vivifiante as a good citrus fragrance too.
Bois 1920 - Agrumi Amari di Sicilia
Comme des Garcons Series 1: Leaves - Calamus
Czech and Speake - Citrus Paradisi
Diptyque - L’eau de Tarocco
Le Labo - Neroli 36
Lubin - L'eau Neuve
Penhaligons - Racquets
Looking for sample/decant of Fahrenheit.
Lemon + Sandalwood
Have to agree with
AdP Colonia and Intensa
Iskander
would also like to put up for consideration
Le Roy Soleil Homme (grapefruit, geranium, cedar)
Versace PH (orange, sage, oud)
Homme des Gres (dry lemon and herbs)
AoS Lemon EdT (lemon and more lemon)
All this talk of Monsieur Balmain has me really intrigued with it. Lemon + sandalwood sounds great. Is it a sweet or tart lemon?
Currently, my favorite citrus fragrance for men is Monsieur de Givenchy.
SculptureOfSoul, Monsieur Balmain is beautiful stuff and to my nose is tart/ashy/rosemary/sandalwood--though it took me several months to perceive the ashy quality I had read about on Basenotes.

That sounds amazing bossanova_boy!I love rosemary.. and lemon, and sandalwood. Tart and ashy, too? Woo. The notes listing on fragrantica has me even more excited:
Top notes are mint, bergamot and lemon; middle notes are rosemary, ginger, pepper and caraway; base notes are musk, amber, clary sage and vetiver.
Can anyone compare it to Colonia Intensa (tart lemon + lots of wood and some spices), or Homme des Gres (dry dry herbal lemon chypre with hints of leather)?
At first it smells like a REAL lemon mixed with Lemonheads. After 30 minutes, the sandalwood comes in and makes it manly.
Din Dan by Lost March and Mediterraneo by Carthusia are very good
I hope nobody forgets "L'Occitane's ORIGINAL NEROLI EDP"

My favorite citrus fragrance is Capucci pour Homme by Roberto Capucci, but a very close second is Eau Sauvage by Christian Dior.

I second that. It's nearly radiating fresh lime/lemon but no orange. Tremendous zillage, great longevity. 4 spritzes (usually using 2) annoyed some for at least 4h on a distance of 2 meters - outside! Too much - more sensitive, means usual application was complimented on inquiry: fresh, natural true, with a bit of dry kernels. Again, a radiating EDC that will be an obvious signature without offending people as far as application is done light handed. Neither complex nor elegant, but with some finesse. True understatement regarding it's price ...
My favorite is Diorella by Christian Dior (a woody citrus). Luca Turin said of it: "I have always seen it as a perfected Eau Sauvage and one of the best masculines money can buy."
Runners up: Eau Fraiche (Christian Dior), Monsieur Balmain, YSL Pour Homme
A few favorites:
Eau de Guerlain
Eau de Rochas
Philtre d'Amour
Cologne Sologne
Balle de Match
Eau d'Hermes
Eau Sauvage
Monsieur de Givenchy

Monsieur de Givenchy is a very good one.
Crown Spiced Limes is fantastic, IMHO, but might be a little too refined and old school British for some.
I also like the regular Aqua di Parma a lot, but I don't own a bottle.
Penhaligon's Douro is quite good and worth trying.

It's really great to see so many mentions of Hermes Concentree d' Orange Verte. I recieved it in a swap of Dior Homme, and I have grown to really like it. I think it is a really mature and formal smelling citrus. It's interesting how some fragrances grow on you. When I first tried it at a Macys, I was like oh no, this crap is too powdery and sour. I thought the citrus note was just too sharp. I went on to trying other fragrances. Before I left, I decided to give it another sniff. That's when I got it. See, it's not like other straight-to-the-point fresh fragrances, that just start out with all that freshness, like tdh for example. No...it makes you deal with the powdery top and then makes you wait until it dries down a little bit so you appreciate it more when it does blossom into the pleasant scent that it is.
Chanel's Eau de Cologne!!
If fragrance has a gender, so does all art.
Overall I would say Eau Sauvage and for something special, Farina Gegenuber
Re-arranged/updated:
1. Creed Selection Verte
2. Hermes Eau D'Orange Verte
3. Hermes Concentre D'Orange Verte
4. Maitre Pour Le Jeune Homme
5. Creed Citrus Biggarade
6. Guerlain Imperiale
7. Creed Neroli Sauvage
8. Acqua Di Parma Colonia
9. Creed Bois De Cedrat
10. Dior Eau Sauvage
It's taken me a while to respond to this thread, as it's a very hard question to answer.
I think I have to go with Philtre d'Amour by Guerlain. And Acqua Viva by Profumum.
Although I have deep respect for many of the above recommendations.
Annick Goutal Eau de Sud
Varvatos Artisan has a pleasant mix of citrus/light woods. I consider it a citrus scent; masculine as well.
I'm partial to Creed Silver Mountain Water
I think that I like Lorenzo Villoresi's Uomo and Creed's Millesime Imperial most. You can also give a shot to Creed's Selection verte, Citrus bigarrade and Bois de cedrat. Acqua di Parma colonia and Floris Limes are another good candidates. Still remember that the best option is what you like most![]()

Creed Selection Verte
Creed Bois De Cedrat
Salvador Dali Le Roy Soleil
Tangerine Vert
Some not mentioned:
Loewe para Hombre
Versace l'Homme (1984)--citrus+fougere, get the vintage
Bowling Green--better than Montale's Aromatic Lime, imho
1881 by Cerruti
Blenheim Bouquet
Cuir d' Oranger---citrus with leather
Eau des 4 Voleurs---coniferous herbal citrus
Gai Mattiolo Uomo --aquatic citrus

Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder.
My Antaeus can beat up your Armani.
Acqua Viva by Profumum is a very strong lemon smell, or it was on me when I had it.
Geo F Trumper sell GFT cologne and it is almost identicle to Acqua Viva, far cheaper and lasts quite a long time for a cologne.
http://www.trumpers.com/product_deta...ctID=111547155
Chanel Allure Edition Blanch num 1
Bois de Cédrat - very good, but gone quickly.
Citrus Bigarrade - the absolute best citrus opening for a Creed.
Néroli Sauvage - excellent.
Mario, excellent suggestion of Bowling Green. I rarely remember it when I think "citrus" but it has an incredibly distinctive citrus opening. Pity the longevity is only average after the citrus evaporates.

Allure Homme Cologne Sport
Acqua di Parma Colonia: It's a classic in my eyes and I smell some candle wax in it... I love that combo and reminds me of the church I attend.
Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey Pour Homme: It's been a hit since it was released in '94. Off the bat it's a zingy and fizzy lemon but an hour in the woods come out and amerge giving it an amazing drydown with awesome longevity and projection on my skin.
Chanel Allure Homme Sport: It's a must for any avid cologne buyer and it'll leave you constantly sniffing your wrist because it's such a beautiful smell. From start to finish this cologne smells great and just like L'eau D'Issey Pour Homme, the longevity and projection is awesome on my skin... but then again both frags have great longevity and projection on every guy's skin.
i second Czech & Speake Citrus Paradisi, i did 180 degrees on this one first sniff was YUCK Sour Grapefruit, but its my best late after shower scent
i got only 10ml decant
Tell Hugo, he isnt boss anymore.
For me:
C&S Neroli
Penhaligon's Extract of Limes
Creed Bois de Cedrat
And it sounds like I need to try Creed's Selection Verte. A trip to Saks is definitely in order.
Thank you for all suggestions under this thread! I have attempted to summarize in alphabetical order what has been suggested so far. I deleted a few suggestions because they were not clear to me which fragrance was meant. A few suggestions were not clear but I guessed which fragrance was meant. Most of the suggestions are catalogued in Basenotes, but some are not. In these cases I verified the existence of them elsewhere. Some suggestions might be discontinued. Although the question intended to exclude female citrus fragrances, some suggestions were labeled female by Basenotes, but I still list these suggestions.

Great summary!
I'm wearing my Ricci Club today, and though it starts with its citrus notes, it's not as "tart" or for lack of a better word, "zingy" ... it rounds up fast to its woody base.
I'm going to use this summary for future sniff-fests, I need a beach frag for the upcoming summer season here.
Dont forget Laura Biagotti - Aqua Di Roma Uomo. It is nice sharp citrus. It is not best but definitely deserves to be mentioned.

Grapefruit: Acqua Allegoria Pamplemousse
Lime: Trumper's West Indian Limes
Orange: Eau d'Orange Verte and Bigarade Concentrée
Lemon: GFT, Eau Sauvage
Classic eau de cologne: Guerlain's Imperiale, Villoresi's Acqua di Colonia and the original Santa Maria Novella
More full-bodies scents that just could be considered citrus scents: Villoresi's Uomo, MPG's Racine
Not-really-citrus citrus: Eau d'Hermes
Bergamote by The Different Company
Whoops, you have it. They have dropped the 'Divine' from the name now. Nice list BTW - a few to file away for exploration.

well I have to admit this is going to help me with my search for a few more summer frags
My very own blog : http://thefragranceguru.blogspot.com/
Give Miller Harris - Citron Citron a go, i love it!
Versace Man Eau Fraîche, Dior Homme Sport, Allure Homme Edition Blanche by Chanel for example
“Government big enough to supply

What about Piguit's Cravache?
I tried sample of Nobile 1942 - Vespriesperidati - Colonia Maxima and Jacques Fath Parfums - Green Water today and both are very fresh and citrusy, especially the Nobile 1942 one.
Castle Forbes Keig is worth sampling, Lemon, Lime, Bergamot, Sandalwood, Cedarwood
Noone has mentioned Chanel Pour Monsieur yet?
I love cologne.
Alright, I've been testing out citrus scents all winter to find the citrus holy grail, and here are my faves, among the twenty something citrus scents I tested. These cut through the heat and never get cloying in the summer:
Bigarade Concentree
Eau d'Orange Verte (both the EdC and EdT are very good)
Bergamot 22
Honorable mention:
Terre d'Hermes
Citrus Bigarade (Creed)
Monsieur Eau du Matin
Favorite Perfumers: Francis Kurkdjian, Jacques Cavallier, Jean-Claude Ellena
What? No Dune pour Homme?!
Shame on y'all..!

Today I have purchased the best Lemon fragrance I have ever come across and that is i Profumi di Firenze Limone di Sicilia.
Freshly picked lemons from the seaside cliffs of Sicily with a hint of lemon peel and bergamot creates this sparkling, crisp, fresh scent that captures the true essence of lemon like no other.
I'm a big fan of citruses too. Here are the ones I use.
La Prairie Sea Energy, now sold as Energizing Body Spray - unisex body splash with longevity of EdP, unfortunately with the price of EdP too, we share it with my wife - nobody mentioned it yet?
Azzaro Chrome - another of my all time faves.
Versace Eau Fraiche
Chanel Allure Sport Cologne
I also tried those:
Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien (imo v. similar to Sport Cologne) and Annick Goutal Eau de Sud - we had the body splash versions of both.
Nickel Eau Maximum - great citrus for men, hard to find now.
Biotherm Eau Vitaminee
CK One
My first post here, so hi everyone!![]()
