Default Some fragrances are worthless on my skin...

So goes for most Guerlains on me. Big example would be Shalimar. No matter how much I use, EdT or EdP, it fizzles in a couple of hours, and I hardly think I'm anosmic to it.

I decided to spray it on my shirt today, and man, WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

I am catching things that are so glorious about this scent. When I spray it on skin, most of the time I get a beautiful lemony amber at first, then an irritating powdery iris, then the most faintest trail of vanilla. On my shirt, it's different--same opening, but there is now a resinous green phase rather than a thick powdery cloud of iris. I'm at the phase where the vanilla is warming up against the resins, but this time so much more stronger and richer. And this is at 2 sprays! 2 sprays usually gave me an hour of some kind of joy on the skin and not much else to savor thereafter.

Next would be Vol de Nuit EdT--another quick fizzler on me.

Any others prefer to wear certain scents on their clothes rather than their skin?

With Polo black... smells amazing fruity clean and refreshing on a card, mango ass on my skin. Same with Mugler cologne, smelled good on a card, had a rotten tomato note on my skin.

I spray all my fragrances on clothes with the exception of musks and ones that stain.

In my case, although it's a very good fragrance I truly like, "Horizon" by Guy Laroche has nearly zero lasting power on my skin. Longevity and notes slightly better on fabric...

For me Bond no 9 Gramercy Park, CK Eternity for men, Erolfa, VIW last significantly longer on my clothes than on skin. Most prominent difference goes to Gramercy Park...

Well, the top notes of the ephemeral Eau d'Orange Verte last on my shirt to be sure.

However, spraying on clothes can damage/stain fabric.

I don't like to do it either because time and time again it doesn't all come out in the next wash.

Wow, really ? I usually am hard pressed to get good longevity from anything and Horizon seems to do OK. Go figure.

I did enjoy reading your review on this fragrance in the directory. One of my favs
