Default Miller et Bertaux - no US distribution

FYI - I received this from Lusciouscargo:

Saving the worst for (almost) the last---the very sad news from Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier continues...that is, that they have, at least for now, discontinued their U.S. shipping. Consequently, our supplies are limited and going as quickly as we knew they would - so get yours while you can (without traveling to Paris)! Unfortunately the same holds true for Miller et Bertaux - i.e., they have severed relations with their U.S. distributor for the time being...and we couldn't be sadder.

Very sad about MPG....not as concerned about MB frankly....they were all "meh" to me.

A sad sign of the times. I'm sure more will be following!

I agree, but Mike's "dropping like flies" comment is sadly apt. I can't help wondering who is next. I can't afford to have another giant multi-back-up bottle purchase from another favorite house after just having done that with MPG. If Lorenzo Villoresi goes under, I'll have to mortgage my house.

Was Miller et Bertaux distributed by the same now-out-of-business distributor as MPG? They had to have had more than one line.

Lorenzo Villoresi is imported by Santa Maria Novella (so is Eau d'Italie). So far, there have been no rumors of any problems with them...
