Here's another view of the bookcase so you can get your bearings.
I mix in perfume with other collected items. There is the Portrait of the Lady.
Lovely decoration everywhere, kumquat! Thanks for sharing!
Hi this is a Loetz design called Aufs 237
hi This is actually Lapis glass named after the stone Lapis Lazuli which was much prized in ancient times the Pharos having costly objects made from it buried with them in their tombs.
. Malachite is green.
hi this is not by Joseph Hoffman but Heinrich Hofffman .
Heinrich Hoffmann (1875 - 1939 ) was prominent among glass makers at the luxury level of vanity glass production.
What a stunning bottle!
Hi, are you talking about the green glass one with the woman on top? It doesn't seem to be listed under Heinrich on this website. (Thanks for this website, BTW, I'm joining up!) However, I do have this one I pasted in, with the ivy leaves in the malachite. I haven't photographed it yet.
Thanks for setting me straight on the malachite/lapis thing. Of course I knew lapis was blue. I don't know why I called it malachite, DOH!
Do you happen to know how I can get some values assigned to these bottles? You've been most helpful.
Hi oops !! sent wrong link ...
these are the corrects
I just do seaches on the net to get a rough idea whet some thing is worth. It varies as to where and when and who is selling . A small store or a private person or in an up market store in New York or major capital city arround the world .
your green lady is a very desirable.
The collection is getting better and better!
I specially loved the red czech cut glass from the 20s and the fantastic Garniture Enfants de Lalique which I believe this one in particular is from the 70s!
Thanks, CastorP., So the Lalique is from the 70's? That explains why I was able to afford it. I thought I got a good price on it.
Again, Thank you for sharing such wonderful collection!
WOW! is there a symbol for fainting? I can't believe I was able to get this one for around $250. I thought it might be worth $1200 or so. It just shows that these things fluctuate wildly.
Beautiful , Kumquat !!!!!!!!!!
Looks like Aedes took a bit of that design for their new EDP signature scent.
Thanks, Mimi! Here's an unsigned cameo glass piece in the style of Gallé.
The top is silver.
I'm not sure if I should try to clean it or not.
Another beauty Kumquat . I too would hesitate about cleaning the silver .
Edit : posting at the same time ...... Lovely bottles Kumquat . What treasures !
