Thanks for coming in and having a look. I'm glad people are still interested.
Kumquat, your collection makes me GREEN with envy! Lovely bottles!
"...her fragrance all in my keeping; softly she comes in the night." Lyrics, Gordon Lightfoot, "Softly."
Kumquat, the last bottle is simply wonderful
This world and our possibilities is infinite...
Thank you both! Primrose, I take that as a high compliment! Green is one of my favorite colors, too!
So as not to waste a space, I am posting another pic of my new cameo bottle.
I love these bottles, Kumquat. I particularly love this last bottle with the blue striped glass. There is something very alluring about it.
Petty small minded people have no place in my life.
1800's lay-down, etched with gold leaf inlay.
This would have had rose oil or similar in it.

Thanks, Mimi, I forgot to say, the blue striped one is tiny, only about 2.5 inches long.
Did you just get that? I think I was watching it too. Good job I didn't bid.
A Moser- probably. Enameled decoration.
The bottom is ground perfectly smooth and etched with #37.

This etched piece has a ground stopper that has a '9' inscribed on the bottom of the piece to match.
Yet another English cut crystal piece.

I really love the blue bottles in your collection.

More beautiful bottles! I hadn't stopped by in while, but glad I did. You know how I feel about the blue ones ... they take my breath away!
My mom has a frosted glass powder jar similar to yours. I'll have to take a picture of it one of these days for you to see.
I've trademarked the color bleu
That would be fun to see. I have included those as a little hint of how I use them in my collection. There are mirrors and other dressing table items, too. I really am running out of room. I don't want to become an actual hoarder. Since I am a painter as well as a photographer, I'm hoping to include these in some still-life paintings in the future.
These are stunning and the thread needs a bump so all of us newbies can gawk! Thanks for sharing your collection. I'd love to see them all together in display, if you have a pic of that.
I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
My Sales Thread - A Collection Purge
Thanks, Danieq! I do have a few posts showing most of the collection in my cabinets and on my shelves. It's kind of large so it won't fit all together in one shot.
Here's one I think I may have forgotten to show. It's a 'lay down' flask, probably late 1800's with gilt applied. It has rose oil still inside and the cork is broken off in the neck.
Just found this awesome thread.
Here are a few more photos.
Moser in applied gilt on the left. Hand-painted Limoges on the right.
