    Default Geranium pour Monsieur-Further Thoughts

Geranium pour Monsieur has been out for a couple of months now and I was asked by an editor at Fragrantica to summarize my thoughts about it for their site. That review is at the following link, after an interview with Frederic Malle:

    http://www.fragrantica.com/news/Fred...sieur-940.html

I''ve definitely come to realize that this is a great summer scent and while I liked it at first sniff I think you'll see I like it even more on second sniff and beyond
More writing on fragrance by me to be found at http://www.cafleurebon.com/

Thanks for sharing your terrific review. I've got to say this though, Mr. Malle looks more than a little vampirish.

Beautiful review and good to see your work getting some attention beyond BN. Your morning reviews are always a pleasure and an education.

I also enjoy reading SMM posts.

Will have to go re-sample Geranium pour Monsieur - I'm not sure I got to smell the drydown last time - only applied a small spritz. Next time will give a couple blasts.

It has become a summer time favorite for me in this last month. Nice review and a great fragrance.

Excellent review Thanks for sharing, Mark! I've yet to sample this fragrance I'm sorry to say - but this certainly will inspire me.

Kevin's review on Now Smell This is also a good one. He, and now Mark, really have me itching to get a sample of this. It sounds wonderful.

Thanks SMM - great tro have some more insight on this one. GPH arrives here next week at the one small FM counter tucked away in Dries van Noten boutique and there is enough serious heat left over the next couple of months for me to give it a shot in the right weather conditions from the sound of it! I applaud FM for the 'Publishing Titled Works' stance he has taken - good luck to him.

Thank you all for your very kind words.
Don't worry guys you'll still have to put up with me here on a regular basis.
This is where it all begins for me.
You're just going to share me from time to time with Fragrantica, now.
    Sort of like having dual-citizenship.

Great review SMM. I have been scanning Ebay for samples of this for months now...only a few pop up here-and-there usually at inflated prices. I am excited to try it, as a mint and geranium fan.

I was flipping through a "favorite BN reviewer" thread yesterday and was surprised I didn't see SMM mentioned. He gets my vote.
As to GPM, I'm splitting a bottle with friends right now, as well as wearing it myself. I love it, although the scent differs from a handful of crushed leaves off the geraniums in my flower bed. Of course there are many varieties (not to mention additional ingredients in the EdT). For your reading pleasure, here's what is on the box:

GPM "delivers the long-lasting freshness that most men want. It is a sophisticated alternative to the all-too mundane fern-type smells that dominates (sic) men's perfumery.
Geranium from China, rhodinal, mint, aniseed, spices such as clove and cinnamon, sandalwood, and a large dose of white musks, are the main players of this new breed of men's perfume. The formula also contains warm, exotic notes like incense resinoid and styrax benzoin from Siam to add comfort and sophistication.
GPM is Dominique Ropion's answer to men seeking ultra-chic freshness."

    Great review, Anakin.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost

Thank You for a great Review!

This is, in my Opinion, one of the most original and best Scents ever done. And I think, it will also be a great Choice in the Winter. The Aspects of Geranium pM that give a cooling feeling in Summer, will cause a very special Atmosphere in Winter times, as if You were made out of ice.

    A perfect Fragrance!
