Guerlain Eau du Coq is fleeting, but can always be reapplied... the patchouli in the base is a surprise in this gem from 1894.

    Aimé Guerlain
Top Notes: Hesperidic Notes, Lemon, Bergamot, Neroli, Orange

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost

I'm partial to Acqua di Parma Colonia Assoluta and Eau de Fleurs de Cedrat. Eau de Guerlain is great stuff, too.

My go to cologne is probably Acqua di Parma. I love the citrus-floral composition. When I feel like a very traditional cologne, nothing beats Villoresi's Acqua di Colonia. For a sharp hesperide Guerlain's Impériale, though du Coq is equally good. And if I want something a little more lasting I cheat and go for MPG's pour le jeune homme or Eau de Guerlain . As so often, so simple answer...

Fine recommendations, Acqua di Parma has many supporters for good reason. I'd also add Geo F Trumper's Wellington as a lovely implementation, as well as Nicolai's Cologne Sologne.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Also add Guerlain Eau Imperiale.

I wore this on Monday and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would say that I do get a bit more out in terms of duration, but close to my skin.

My favorite though is Acqua di Parma Colonia.

The Acqua Di Parma one? Nordstroms, Nieman's, Sacks.

I know Temecula is kind of far away, but the next time you're in LA check out the Santa Maria Novella store for dozens of different EDC frags.
