Default Powerhouse scents for hot humid weather

The ones that I have worn and worked so far are Kouros, Azzaro PH, Aramis (1965) and Paco Rabanne PH. I know a lot will say just use fewer sprays but are there any powerhouses that work in hot humid whether even with normal amount of sprays?

If the above frags work for you in hot weather, then most powerhouses should do the same. And yes you are right, just use fewer sprays

I own Kouros but can no longer tolerate it. My last time wearing it will be my last. Definitely.

The Azzaro PH is a great scent and I usually love it. I bought it in the winter and always had a pleasant experience every time applied, but the other day I decided to give a whirl for the summer and thoroughly regretted it. I finally understood why it smelt like a kitchen cooking ethnic food. It was to much in the Arizona heat and resulted in a double scrub shower.

The same thing happened with the Paco Rabanne PH minus the cooking food smell. Just to strong for me and others in the AZ heat.

As for Body Kouros. This is always strong to my nose. It has that sharp gasoline smell at the opening that lingers for a good hour. The dry down? Divine and unique as all get out. Nobody will smell like it and it lasts like a stain.

I've been wearing Giorgio For Men for most of the summer (5-6 sprays), and it's been delightful. I haven't found it to be overbearing at all, even though it's regarded as a typical "powerscent" from the 80s. I've found its carnation/moss/patchouli accord to work very well in the hot weather.

Good take on Giorgio. I've always read comments like "too strong". "only on summer" and 'never more than 1 spray" about Giorgio. Sadly it isn't available here so i won't be able to test it.

Agree that its uplifting but i find it hard to put Power in the Powerhouse category. Nevertheless Kenzo Power is one of the better designer releases last year. It's always a joy to wear Power

True, JoNnY4. I wouldn't call Kenzo Power a powerhouse either but it projects pretty strongly with the usual number of sprays. A great release from the house of Kenzo imo.

How about Horizon, with the marine aspect being so strong? I don't wear it any more (under any circumstances) so I can't really say.

I remember there was thread discussing the reformulated Armani PH. Seems it's just a shadow of its former self.

Hmm.. Intresting. I bought a bottle of Azzaro Pour Homme yesterday. What a huge dissapointment! It`s totaly watered down from the original as i remeber from the 80-ies.. After 40 minutes i could almost not smell it on my skin.. The bottle was also all brown, without the printed logo on the front.

I've got a bottle of Azzaro PH and it seems fine to me. It lasted me a good 8 hours and the sillage was strong for the 1st 3 hours or so. Maybe u sprayed too little? I went with 5 sprays to neck and chest.
