A bottle from the late 1930's - early 40's. I rarely wear this, but, when I do, I LOVE IT!

    Parfums Delrae
    Mythique
    (2009)
    Yann Vasnier

Notes: Florentine Iris, Mandarin, Bergamot, Ivy, Peony, Jasmine, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Amber

The iris in this is rich and magnificent, fresh with the citrus notes bursting in the top. The heart of ivy, peony, and jasmine is floral with a slightly bitter green twist, which keeps the freshness going; the woody amber base makes the perfect anchor and also boosts the rootiness of the iris, keeping it from coming across as too powdery. The peony-jasmine heart, balanced by the green ivy, stops short of being too feminine, making this a possible wear for a devil-may-care kind of guy. (Me? You?)

As I was thumbing through Turin's book last night, I noticed BdP and recalled that it was one of the few (if not the only) Creeds that he ranked four stars or above. That makes it worthy of a SotD, I think.

Bois de Portugal sounds wonderful. It piqued my interest when I learned it was Paul Newman's signature scent

I think the sultry musky base of the bright sunny SL Fleurs de Citronnier will be perfect again. Wore it last night and was visiting with a friend. Finally asked her what her gorgeous musk perfume was. It was me

The musk in this is perfection. Hiding under lemon & gorgeous white florals. Yum.

I purchased today a bottle of Vol de Nuit Evasion EdT at the Paris Charles de Gaul duty Free. I liked it after the initial spritz and so bought the 50 ml - now wearing it and finding the dry down to be nearly identical to my Heritage EdP... hmmmmm..., which also makes it quite similar to Shalimar EdP, and I like that!
