Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beene - better than many niche and ridiculus cheap
Vetyver by L'Occitane - one of the few vetivers I actually like
L'Occitan by L'Occitane - fresh, natural and different

    Cacharel: Anais Anais
Coty: Vanilla Fields & Vanilla Musk
Houbigant: Demi-Jour (in the pretty cut glass bottle, if you like Quelques Fleurs, give this one a try) & vintage Chantilly
    Rochas: Byzance
Bill Blass: Bill Blass (the original from the '70s in the ugly bottle, not the one from a couple of years ago in the pretty bottle, but boring juice) & Nude
Perry Ellis: Perry Ellis for Women (the original from the '80s, also in an ugly bottle, but a lovely green floral)
    L'Aromarine: Flowers & Vetyver

Any of the mens Caron's are a good deal. All can be had for $35 shipped or less.

Grey Flannel is another excellent one, as is Bowling Green.

Pour Moi, Kiehl's Original Musk Blend No. 1... pretty cheap, lasts long, smells nice on and for most people. Overall a solid choice.
Tom Ford Splits!!!! - Tobacco Vanille, Tuscan Leather, Oud Wood, Noir de Noir - PATCHOULI ABSOLU
Plum Japonais, Italian Cypress, Neroli Portofino, Costa Azzura, Azure Lime, Champacca Absolute

HARD TO FIND - Lavender Palm, Arabian Wood, and AMBER ABSOLUTE, etc...

Most of the time I am very proud of the Basenotes community. Time after time I have witnessed the thoughtfulness, empathy & genuine friendship that members of this community extend to others - oldtimers & newcomers alike. There are other times, however, when egos get the upper hand and civility goes out the window. My philosophy is that I won't say anything here that I would not say if you were standing in front of me. Welcome to Basenotes, each and every one of us. ~ TwoRoads

It depends on the part of the world you are in: for example, "cheap" down here would be solely drugstore scents. Still, you might find designer bottles for very low prices, but this is an exception rather than the rule.

As an example, a well known stockist is actually selling 100 ml bottles of Boucheron and Jaipur for around USD 50, when the usual price is USD 100 or more. Thus, I am not including designer's scents since there is no TJ Maxx in Argentina.

    1. Fragrance X is offering free shipping overseas, so I can attest as for those unavailable locally: Jovan's Musk for Men and Pierre Cardin's EdC. BTW, I am planning to buy Danas' British Sterling, Royal Copenhagen, Chaps and Stetson

2-. Avon's fragrances found everywhere: Wild Country, Black Suede

3-. Avon's scents discontinued but available down here: Wood Musk

4-. Global drugstore scents: Old Spice

5-. Local drugstore scents: McTaylor, Vieja Lavanda Fulton, Agua de Pravia 1905, Heno de Pravia, Colbert, Grandal

It gets so bad reviews here....

A very cheap blind buy that I enjoyed immensly is Diesel Zero Plus (the red one). Dryish barbershop cinammon and spices. I think of it as a drier Musc Ravageur. And seeing chaps I was thinking how would those two (0+ and Chaps) work together?....

Hey, it`s almost Etat Libre d`Orange!!! At least, they have the very same creative director and owner (Etienne de Swardt).

I also did not get the buzz about DG By Man. What`s up? Did I miss something?

    My cheapest Goldies are:
all my Carons shipped from USA.

Cabochard Gres which I like much more than Aramis

Alliage, Estee Super and Private Collection EL parfums which I wear myself and bought in US ebay for 20 USD shipping to Russia included

Azuree EL cologne too (bought here)

Ted Lapidus pour homme - rose-patch-honey chypre - about 30 USD

And hey, Patricia de Nicolai from her web-shop is not so much more expensive!!! I should point it out, as I`m happy with my last purchase from her (Le temps d`un Fete)
    Vetiver The Great!!!

Yeah, it's a great, unique scent that I think gets overlooked because of it's name.

How could I forget CK Obsession Women (its richer than the man's version). Probably one of the best designer scent I've tried and it can be found on discount at TK MAXX in the UK for cheap if not elsewhere or even Ebay.

Its a good buy for sure.

EDIT* you can also get Paul Smith Story and Christian Dior Poison for a decent price

Shaving Shop by Taylors of Old Bond Street is by far the cheapest in my collection. Bizarrely, I like to put it on my arms before going to bed at night.
