They have many good scents, but at the moment, Chergui is a notch above the rest, in my case!
Muscs Koublaï Khän
I'm just only beginning to discover the wonderful offerings of Serge Lutens and would like to know what Serge Lutens fragrance is your personal favourite!
Chergui is my favorite too
Cèdre is my favorite.
I have tried
Five O'Clock au Gingembres
Feminite de Bois (old version)
Wow. That's more than I would have guessed. FdB is my favorite by itself, and despite the "Feminite" in the name, I think it could have unisex appeal. Cedre doesn't get much attention, but it's very similar and is a good unisex, I think. 5 O Clock is nice and gingery, but I thought it had a masculine vibe that didn't work on me. So, I put some on my hubby, and on his skin all we got was bubblegum. Weird. I absolutely LOVE to layer Ambre Sultan and Cuir Mauresque....very cuddly and sophisticated, like a Cashmere throw in front of a huge fireplace and a leather overstuffed sofa....Daim Blond is lovely. Serge Noir smells like patchouli and black licorice on me, I'm not a fan. Sarrasins is VERY jasmine, yowza. Santal Blanc is a nice non-metallic sandalwood.

of the ones you have listed, i own - Ambre Sultan, Cedre & Arabie. would love to have Serge Noire, Daim Blond, Gris Clair & Musc Kublai Kahn too.
I previously owned Douce Amere & Chergui as well. both didnt work on me. DA didnt impress me with its drydown and Chergui gave me a headache...i still love it on others, but not for me. pls apply the golden rule of sampling.
I was well on my way to concluding that SL just didn't work for me... until our little trip to NYC this past weekend. I tried Ambre Sultan and liked it immediately. I need to try Fumerie Turque again, but I think that might be another one.

I voted "other" for A La Nuit
I voted for Chergui - I love that stuff. It's unique.
For sale. Carnal Flower and Vero Profumo Onda.
Mandarine-Mandarin gets my vote. (At least as of today...)

I've tried a lot of Serge Lutens' fragrances and the best so far is definitely Chergui. I also really like Daim Blond (even though I don't like wearing it) and I have this really strong feeling that Fumerie Turque will be my fave, I just haven't tried it yet.

Daim Blond for me - the first Lutens I bought. Chergui too, but I don't wear it as much as Daim Blond. Gris Clair in third and I do like Arabie once in a blue moon . . . would like to try some of the others that we don't see out here.
Bois de Violette, Sarrasins, Iris Silver Mist, La Myrrhe.
Impossible to choose just 1 -- it's a tie between Ambre Sultan, Chergui and Serge Noire for me.
PVC and Leather. A Chain and a feather
I voted for Douce Amere but I love Iris Silver Mist and Ambre Sultan too.

Serge Noire, here.
Chergui could be a favorite if it wasn't quite so sweet. Actually, I don't mind the sweetness at all for an hour or two, but when it hasn't relented a bit after 4 or 5 hours I start to get sick of it. Literally. It made me gag a bit and for a few minutes I was sure I was going to puke, but I held it down.
All that being said, I still rate it 4/5.
Iris Pallida 50ml
Ungaro I 75ml
and more! - http://www.basenotes.net/threads/301...n-Man-and-more
Of those listed, it's Chergui, but I voted other for Borneo 1834, though I still haven't tried Fumerie Turque, which sounds like it would be right up my alley...

Tubereuse Criminelle. If I have to have favorite fragrance, this is mine.
Chergui for me.
I voted for Serge Noire, but it's a struggle for me to pick a favorite between Serge Noire and Daim Blond.
Chergui rocks for me, ahead of Ambre Sultan. Btw is there something about Ambre Sultan that just knocks your olfactory senses numb? I could not smell Fumerie Turque at all after taking a whiff of Sultan! I tried the coffee beans, they didn't work either. Couldn't even smell the beans.
I wd love to try Daim Blond, Cuir Mauresque, Iris Silver Mist, Gris Clair and MKK.

Without a doubt, Ambre Sultan.

I voted other;
Cuirr Mauresque is my all time true love from Serge. I adore almost all the rest, but i am folle (crazy) for CM.
Quand on boit l'eau, il faut penser à sa source
For me, I luv Arabie... it's a favorite birthday gift that I gave myself.
hard choice between Ambre Sultan and Fumerie Turque for me but I would give a slight edge to Fumerie Turque. Can't go wrong with both.
I voted for my beloved Ambre Sultan but 5 o'clock and 1834 are very good releases as well.
Well I will definitely have to try some of these out as I only have samples of Chergui and Douce Amere atm.
While Ambre Sultan was my first love, Cuir Mauresque quickly became my favorite Serge Lutens.
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost
In my case, it's Chypre Rouge.
My fav is Bois de Violette, but followed very closely by Ambre Sultan and La Myrrhe. Truly hope to find FB of La Myrrhe some day.
Hearts starve as well as bodies; give us bread, but give us roses.
Post for my DH: he is absolutely gaga over Arabie, so a mention on his behalf!
Hearts starve as well as bodies; give us bread, but give us roses.
I understand why this is a tough call. I just found my absolute (relatively speaking of course) favorite Serge Lutens in Fille en Aiguilles. It seems very 'me'.
Chergui was magical and triggered my obsession with niche fragrances, so it will always be my first love. I adore others though, especially the frosty Iris Silver Mist, the foxy MKK, the sweet but tempered Bois de Violette and the sensual Rose de Nuit.
I am partial to Ambre Sultan myself. I am looking forward to cooler weather so that I can start wearing it again.
It's a bit unfair! How can I choose just one fragrance from a brand I like so much? But ok, the one I've voted for is Tubereuse Criminelle.
Although Fille en Aiguilles is my new favorite (but I wouldn't place it above Tubereuse).

Douce Amere is my current favourite, although Chergui and Daim Blond come extremely close.
I voted for Chergui, but Sa majeste la rose along with Feminite du bois(got the old bottle,so I guess it doesn't really count?) isn't far behind!
OK, so I've tried Fumerie Turque now, and although it's amazing, I still think Chergui is the best of the line.
Fumerie Turque is on it's way from Barneys.
I do love the ones i've tried:
MKK (5ml decant)
Not to my taste
Your nostrils, which will dilate immesurably in unspeakable contentment, in motionless ecstasy, will ask nothing better for space, for they will be full of fragrance, as if perfumes and incense; for they will be glutted with complete happiness, like angels who dwell in the peace and magnificence of pleasent heaven.
(From Maldoror by Comte de Lautreamont)
1 serge noire
2 ambre sultan
3 a la nuit
4 fumerie turque
5 douce amere
TC still at the top, but I love Serge enough to have a top five:
1. Tubereuse Criminelle
2. Iris Silver Mist
3. Fille En Aiguilles
5. Rose de Nuit
Iris Silver Mist
Cedre ( wich i smell more tubereuse than cèdre)

My fav. is not listed..'Un Bois Vanille.' Though Chergui is certainly a close runner-up.
Where's Feminité du Bois? The only Lutens I really love.
Gris Clair - realize the dry lavender in Gris Clair work well for my body chemistry.
Fleurs de Citronnier - simply adore the soapy opening
eager to try Iris Silver Mist..
2. Ambre Sultan
3. Un Bois Vanille
I liked Amber Sultan and especially Gris Clair but they are just not for me :/ both were just listed in the for sale forum. I am going to try Chergui next.

Other - Cedre! And it's finally cold enough outside to wear Cedre Closely followed by Arabie, Ambre Sultan and Fumerie Turque
It is a tie for me between Chergui, Ambre Sultan and Iris Silver Mist.

Miel De Bois
Iris Silver Mist
Jeux De Peau
and hopefully if my blind buy works out well (will find out in a week or so):
I voted other. My favorite is the often forgotten, Rousse. This is my go-to fragrance for cinnamon. I love wearing this one during the holiday season. It reminds me of red hot candies mixed with holiday season potpourri. It's probably not for everyone, and you certainly can't wear it every day, but I absolutely love it. I've tried other recommendations for cinnamon fragrances, and to me, this is the one that does it best.
My first love was Ambre Sultan which switched me onto haute perfumery on it's release in the UK. My first SL purchase was Arabie which I adore. The one I wear most often however is A La Nuit
