Lovely scent to face another sunny and warm day in Lisbon

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."
Clarice Lispector ( 1920-1977) - Perfumes da Terra / Earth Perfumes
It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely products of a deranged imagination.
Dior's Escale a Portofino. I keep this in the fridge as a pick-me-up!
green, green, green and... green - Miller et Bertaux
Wishlist is pointless.
Chergui (Serge Lutens) - "Beauty like hers is genius".
Carnal Flower - I am becoming a Tuberose fanatic and Carnal Flower is my vice.

Softly raining this early in the morning. Couturier Coriandre, my old pal, my Numero Uno of all time and people.
The wrist is slowly becoming dead hand system, no offence to anyone, please. The worst part is not that I can't slice and dice, but that I can't stitch. I wonder what am I being punished for?
A La Nuit
But once you get locked into a serious perfume collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.
I am wearing the redoubtable Agatha Brown Imperial Jade Emperor today

(((Twolf and her hand)))!!!! Are you able to see a hand doc? Not being able to sew when one is as talented as you are is simply NOT FAIR.
Today I continue testing from my BNer surprise package: Parfum d'Empire Wazamba. I've been wanting to try this one for quite awhile, and it's a very nicely done incense, with an unusual (for incense frags, in my opinion) apple note that keeps it from being "just another good incense scent." It's evolving nicely, opening like it's being warmed by the sun rather than 'just' by my skin. The pine notes are staying cool in the background, too. How do they DO that? Nice!
Wazamba Notes: Somalian incense, Kenyan myrrh, Ethiopian opoponax, Indian sandalwood, Moroccan cypress, labdanum, apple, fir balsam.
It’s thought that people who hope too much will just waste their life away and never get down to doing any real work. They’re confusing Hope with Wish, its lazy cousin... When Wish whispers, “Something is just around the corner,” what comes or not is never what was wished for. When Hope whispers “Something is just around the corner,” something always is. -- Charlie Elberson
My sale thread has some of my underappreciated fragrances looking for a good, new home...
Twolfie- DON'T go there !
It's not a punishment....but it IS horrible.
I'm so sorry for your suffering
CD- SO...is it FBW ? the Wazamba ?
[ It's such fun to say, "Wazamba" ! ]
Liz' Moroccan Orange proved to be very therapeutic yesterday- such a liquid joy sort of scent.
Today is the re-mastered Futur.
Well worth the dosh, I believe it may be Piguet's finest re-edit yet.
Strong words, truly meant.
This stuff is exquisitely verdantly floral without cloying; the suave handbag drydown is a pleasure.
As close to vintage as the IFRA may allow ;-)
May your days go well !
Hope the w/e brings comfort to all.
I love you.
Good morning all It seems I've missed a few things since wednesday.Hugs and sympathy to Twolf,An Oud Girl,Jasper and everyone else who needs a hug! Hope all will be well soon! Today I'm in Feminite du bois.

Testing my sample of Penhaligon's Eau de Verveine. Too much cedar for my taste.
Wearing "C" from the September 3x3 blind sniff. I have no idea what it is yet. Check out the threads for more details.

Roberto, thank you for posting the beautiful botanical print! That’s lovely, makes me smile this morning.
(((Hugs))) to Twolfie. I hope it gets better soon.
Chaya, Moroccan Orange…hmmm…that got my attention.
This morning I'm wearing vintage Y parfum that I bought on ebay. It has darkened but it's still gorgeous. It' luscious, textured, yummy...I want to eat it.
Twolf: Please, if at all possible, see a hand specialist. Life's events just are, as you well know.
ComDiva: I have always enjoyed Parfums d'Empire"s creations. I must, must try Wazamba!
I am wearing the ultimate Friday dress-down comfort scent, Coty Wild Musk, both oil and spray.

Yes, do get that hand checked out, Twolf...frustrating being limited for the moment in what you can do with it.
Wearing Miller Harris Fleurs des Bois - my latest Ebay acquisition!
"So many scents, so little skin"...
Twolf sweety, do have the hand looked at, please. (((Hugs))) and hoping you will heal soon.
Chaya, i want your Futur, i am dying to try it.
CD- Where do they sell PdE in Boston? We need a locale.
Today i am going into Boston on the train, first time in forever (it usually terrifies me, but being without a car...) so Ii am going to try Fille en Aiguilles by Serge, so that will be my sotd, once i have it on.
Wish me luck, i am terrified of public transportation and this is a last minute thing; friend was desperate to meet up, she has men troubles (and she is gorgeous, go figure).
Love an hugs to all my bunnies here, healing vibes also to all in need. xoxo

I think Thymes Fig Leaf & Cassis is my happiest 'fume, and I'm relying on it today. Tang
You know the expression "death by a thousand cuts"? I shouldn't kvetch at all, cuz life is good, but a string of tiny irritations makes me want to swing a bat and hit something. Was going to attack the day today with a fierce attitude after figuring out I had to order some software yesterday that should resolve my nerve-racking slide-show-to-DVD technical problems. This morning the TV went fritzy (again) , and the power company had to be contacted about their error in our online billing records. Got that cleared up and "nature called." Went to flush, and the chain came apart in the tank. Fine! Fine! I huffed as I fetched the pliers and made the repair. So, nothing, nothing is really, really wrong, but that doesn't mean I still can't go a little crazy. Thanks for listening. That helped. Now going to try attacking the day ... again!
I was so unbearably crabby yesterday...I am determined to be a more useful member of society today! The weather is at least cooperating, yesterday was overcast and muggy and 80 degrees, BLECH. Today it's dry and clear and a crisp 65, just what this New England girl needs to be happy!
Bois Des Iles for me today...and, I'm quite surprised to be picking up some more animalic notes today...I actually went back to make sure I hadn't grabbed the Cuir de Russie reformulation by accident. In the warmer weather, BdI only gave me powder and flowers, but today I'm definitely feeling the woods and musk notes. Lovely!

Quarry ! The same thing happened to me and the flush chain last week - first thing in the morning - it was too much to bear ! I had to stick my hand in the tank and pull on what was left of the chain . I hope the rest of your day gets better ,sweetie.
This morning , I have not decided what perfume to use yet. My tooth problem and jaw are not good right now. I just popped in to say hi to everyone here .
You are all smelling good as usual- Chergui, Carnal Flower ,Creed Aubepine Acacia etc ......
I'll be back smelling up the house ,later !
