Frapin 1270 would be worth a try, although I wouldn't class it as dry.

Nutmeg, rum, sandalwood, musk, rosewood. By Kilian's Straight to Heaven gives a rum and kinda dry fruit impression before the woodsy drydown kicks into full gear.

I could be wrong (I have never tried), but I remember hearing that Serge Lutens "Bois et Fruits" is full of rum and dried fruits.

Serge Lutens Arabie handles the dried fruit requirement for sure, but I'm not sure about the rum aspect. It certainly doesn't have the same sort of liquor feeling that one gets from By Kilian, or Bois 1920. If you can handle a substitution of cognac for rum, I highly recommend Frank No. 2 as an excellent inexpensive alternative. It's really intoxicating.

I'll third Frapin and go so far as to recommend both Frapin room sprays: Cellar and Attic. They are boozy, dried fruity and quite wearable.

Very different scents. The only note in common is the cedar in the drydown, which gives both a dry edge - other than that I wouldn't say they're very similar.

I got this today and the ingredients look like it is the same for a cologne as for this room spray. Ever worn this as a cologne? It does smell like socal said

x2, but you must also like pipe tobacco. Try Jubilation XXV too if you like incense.

Rume by Slumberhouse is a great boozy fruit fragrance - maybe not rum, but close.

It's linear (save for the overly acrid opening) but it's powerful, long lasting and REALLY smells like brandy-soaked sultanas.

I applied one spray to the back of my hand almost 24 hours ago, and have showered twice since then. I can still smell it if I put my hand to my nose.

A better Michael Kors for men.

Rum heavy - Alien Liquer de Parfum (rum & amber woody) - too feminine IMO &
    Nejma's Puro &
Frapin 1697 - can't think of any other better rum heavy parfums IMO

These are close - Arabie Serge Lutens & Straight To Heaven - By Kilian come to mind, has already been mentioned above as well. +1 Idole de Lubin as well

This would be my choice hands down. Very economical and can be had discounted at mall stores.
In my experience, it's not a heavily worn fragrance by the masses...so I love the stuff.

Like night and day. Jubilation XXV is a very incensey oud fragrance while I get rum and woods from Straight to Heaven. I personally find that 1270 is definitely worth a sample if you don't mind carrying around a decant of it for re-application.
    My current top ten:

    I genuinely second Baldessarini Ambre

Also, though it has more of a cognac-cigar vibe (then again, both cognac and cigars with dried, slightly alcohol-soaked fruits in their notes), Escada pour Homme might also be worth testing along these lines.
