    That's a good one.

Recently just started wearing Hugo Boss deodorant. Normally just go with unscented dove etc for daily day to day work. I seem to be getting more into the designer versions.

Been using it for about a month and so far I like it. I'm still getting used to the fact that it's a deodorant and not an antiperspirant.

I sweat like a whore in church, regardless of the time of year. I recently started using Certain-Dri and it has proven to be wonderful at keeping even my out-of-control perspiration under control. I highly recommend it.

I've tried Pit Boss, Menscience, all the mainstream brands. My far and away favorite is the eucalyptus deodorant by Malin+Goetz. No aluminum, doesn't irritate me like menscience did, and smells extremely fresh yet neutral.

There used to be, but it disappeared from the shelves at Coles. It was a very powdery spray.

Do you mean deodorant or antiperspirant?

If antiperspirant, I agree the Mitchum unscented is the cheapest and very effective way to go. I also came across an American brand stick antiperspirant called Almay, which is very good.

But if you shower in the evenings, really, any spray-on 24hr anti perspirant will actually last 24 hours nowadays. Spray it on before you go to bed, and the scent will be gone by the time you get up. The new Clinical Protection antiperspirants like that from Rexona, actually says on the box that it is best applied the night before, and it has no scent by morning.

If you really mean deodorant (i.e. doesn't stop sweating with aluminium salts, just stops the sweat from breaking down and getting smelly) well, you can just use designer deodorant sticks. With a few exceptions (e.g D&G PH) most of them are pretty weak scent-wise, and your edt will overpower them easily.

A drop of scent du jour under each pit and Suave Unscented. Leaves me smelling clean with just a hint of scent.

I found this at my local shoppers, and so far I like it. Needed something unscented so it doesn't overpower my fragrance

I like certain dry roll on antiperspirant. I use it once every 2-3 days and it keeps me dry and stench free.

    Default Favorite Deodorants

I really like the irish spring deodorants, i have the newly released from irish spring which to me is a softer scent and i also have the mennon speed stick version which to me is the stronger EDP version and in my opinion the better one. I like to either wear Gendarme by Gendarme or Sung Homme by Alfred Sung when im going to use those deodorants. Also the Axe Dark Temptation and Givenchy Play Intense work well with each other for me. What's your favorite deodorants?

My favorite is Corduroy by Zirh stick. Keeps me dry and clean all day long in the heat of Brazil (30C or more)
Also it smells for less than 1 minute than it turns unscented, perfect to match with any fragrance. For sure the best deodorant that i used.

If you mean deodorants as opposed to antiperspirants, my favourite is the D&G Homme deodorant stick. It seems to be at about half the EDT's strength, and keeps pumping out strong scent all day long.

If you mean antiperspirants, they all do the job and I have no favourite.

I got fed up of Dove, Sure, Mitchum etc ruining my shirts and t-shirts so started to look for alternatives. After a bit of reading, I've binned anti-perspirants and commercial deodorants in favour of using alum block. Problem solved.

Never thought of a classifying a deodorant as best. All any deodorant one has to do for me is keep me dry and sweat-smell free.
Any one that does that is OK by me.

    I agree.

There are two primary sources of odor - the natural aroma that is carried out of the body with sweat - this is the “fresh sweat” smell that people like, and contains the pheromones. I think it’s a mistake to block it unless wetness is a significant problem.

The body odor that offends people comes from the gas emitted by bacteria on the skin that feed on the sweat, and starts to develop subsequently. Kill that and you’re home free, unless there’s something wrong with your metabolism, or it is unduly influenced by diet.

The bacteria-killing ingredient in most deos is some sort of stabilized alcohol. For these, there are a couple of designer deos, Chanels, I like. But most of the time I use the mineral-salt type that is fragrance-free and blocks bacteria from forming. It’s essentially solid piece of alum, a natural mineral, and lasts for ages. You can get Crystal stick, or some other brand, in most big-chain drugstores.
