Default Vintage Rose Attar , starting bid:$297,000.00 on Ebay

"This container of essence d'roses was brought from Bulgaria in 1904 and has been in seller’s family since that time. It is in the same condition as it was in 1904. The seal has never been broken."

    Unbelievable..

Didn't it used to be $300,000.00? Why now, it seems like such a bargain.

Lol I didn't know that. I think they should open the bottle and sell decants.

Do people really buy things that are this expensive sight-unseen?

It's been on ebay for months. The story, if true, is quite amazing and it is probably very valuable, but it is a problem for potential buyers to have no idea what the quality of the contents are.

I think some perfumer should buy the bottle and set up a line of limited edition fragrance containing this rose oild. Now that would be one hell of a publicity stunt.

My $250,000.00 bid failed to meet the minimum. Damn.
There are three kinds of people in this world: those who understand math and those who don't (four out of three people surveyed agree with this).

AHHHH! Thats nuts! Can you imagine being the one to purchase that container only to find 40% has evaporated and the fragrance is soured and degraded!? That is one hell of a risk...
