Thumbs up New B&BW fragrance a pleasant surprise

Most of the time, I avoid Bath and Body Works because everything in there always smells like it's on steroids to me.

Today, however, a friend dragged me in there with her to get some hand sanitizer. I spritzed their new fragrance, P.S. I Love You EdT, and was pleasantly surprised, especially by the particularly pretty and comforting drydown. A well-done review from NST sums it up nicely:

Has anyone else tried this yet? If not, it's definitely worth a spritz the next time you're at the mall.

I haven't tried that one...but, I do think that BBW does a nice job with their "sensual" line, or whatever they call that group that contains Moonlight Path, Sensual Amber, and Japanese Cherry Blossom. It may be my own anti-gourmand bias showing, but I think that the various fruity sweet ones smell like toxic waste. But, the non-sweet ones are quite good for very little money. Now I'll have to try this new one....(grabs my current "free signature item" coupon and heads for the door....)

I smelled the lotion when they first had it out a few weeks back. It was too sweet for me.

Thanks for sharing, BC. It'll probably be too synthetic for me (that's just my low tolerance), but I'll give it a try next time I'm in the neighborhood because every sampling is a learning experience.

I sniffed it a bit the last time I was in there and it wasn't too bad - I seem to remember very fruity top notes. I didn't sample it because I actually had Sensual Amber on one arm and some new dark vanilla scent on the other (and those two were pretty enjoyable, too). Not to mention their new EdT bottles are so darn pretty!

I've always been curious about B&BW but unfortunately we don't have one in Australia. I recently bought a bottle of their Sensual Amber blind from ebay and I actually really like it! Especially considering the low price!

I might seek out the P.S I Love You scent as well - it sounds really nice!

Like I said in my other thread, B&BW is already working on the 2nd "P.S. I Love You Too" fragrance that I think will be rose-scented. They already have 3 versions that they will narrow down to final 1.

I caught some rose in PSILU, but it wasn't predominating.
It will be interesting to smell a flanker where rose plays a larger role.

Hmmm. Perhaps a difference in skin chemistry?

I didn't see Twilight Woods in a perfume form, but I did buy the scented candle.

I haven't smelled it, but I did read a review of PS I love you that had really good things to say. I like B&BW; I think it's good quality for the money, also there is always a sale going on, so I'm definitely going to check it out when I get in there. (which might not be for awhile, darn grad school!)
