Default Dior Homme: approved by gals as an excelent fragrance

Today two female students asked my about the difference between scents for women and scents for men, I explained that scents targetted to women generally include floral essences while scents targetted to men resort to spicy and woody essences. I also explained that they should not take this litteraly, since women's perfumes could be used by men and viceversa. They did not take my word, until I offered them trying Dior Homme.

Know what? They found it awesome... Better still than many scents they already knew.

Wow, two women. I guess that equals 250 million women.

Nope, two is just two. But it proves the point regarding gender and perfumes: just put "pour homme" on it.

I too receive complements from the EdT, and my DH Intense just came in today and I can't wait to wear it!

I love Dior Homme, but something in it give me headaches.
Gave away my full bottle of EDT.
Now i am wondering if I can wear the Cologne without the headaches. Anybody else with this experience and have tried the cologne with no ill affects?

Congrats! I would get it at the spot, but it became too hard to find, and pricy too.

I have the EDT in my wardrobe, and it was my SotD yesterday. I love it in cooler weather.

I have not tried Dior Homme, but have heard good things. Although it might be too sweet and too loud for me, I like most of Dior's offerings.

When compared to the 'masculine' scents of the 80s, Dior Homme is clearly more of a unisex fragrance. So no real surprises there, Pollux. Perhaps you should have offered them Kouros or Knize Ten, but it may be harder to prove your point.

Yes, indeed, generally, gals tend to like it.

Not a favorite...not at all. Did they like it for themselves or on you? My wife didn't like it and it is headached inducing on me.

I wore it last week and my husband said it smelled really good. So it's unanimous - both sexes like it!

Are you talking about Dior or Gucci? There is only one Dior Homme. Then there are the flankers - Dior Homme Sport, Dior Homme Cologne and Dior Homme Intense.

Same with me, though the only thing that is Cologne about it is it's name, it's still EDT concentration. I got headaches with the original but DHC is much much better.

Dior Homme Cologne!!!!! Perfection in bottle form. Everyone that likes, hates, loves DH should seek out and try DHC!

is Intense better than the original one?

Intense imo pronounces the "feminine" parts stronger.
I def. prefer the original or even cologne above this one.

(but yeah, what is "better". what for you could be better, it could be less nice for me...)

I get many compliments on Dior Homme EDT. They range from my wife, to my 13-year old son, to a guy from church, to my Mom, my secretary...it is really broad in its appeal. It must really click with my skin chemistry.

I need to wear it more often. I wore it yesterday for the first time in months. My son complimented me on it, and my wife did later in the day. I tend to wait until cooler weather sets in before I wear this one. Which is fine, actually. That'll give me November through April to enjoy this jewel.

Dior Homme is a keeper for me.

It's strange, all my guy friends I've converted to colognisuers love Dior Homme, but nearly ever, if not every single girl I've had smell my wrist with Dior Homme on have hated it. Like actually been repulsed by it.

    Weird...

My girlfriend is pretty ambivalent toward it, surprisingly. I thought it would fit in with her taste in scents perfectly. Oh well, I love it!

This one is a real compliment-getter. I think I received at least one compliment for each of the last few times I wore it. Great stuff.

It sure is a very nice scent. Just bought a back-up bottle. Can't wait to try the Intense version.

Got it last week, your comment makes me want to state the obvious. IMHO, the leather and the iris give way to the chocolate in a very distinctive way compared to the classic version.
