Colonia and Assoluta are nice, refreshing takes on a traditional eaux (citrus and floral components, bright and somewhat shortlived). Intensa is something totally different; very little citrus or neroli. Instead, Intensa to me smells like ISO E Super and another aromachemical called Amberwood forte. I blind bought Intensa, and I find it pretty terrible. It's the least favorite of the 60+ bottles that I own.

If you are interested in buying one of these, I would highly recommend Assoluta. Assoluta on me has decent longevity (longer than Colonia), and smells a whole lot nicer than Intensa.

Intensa bares the least resemblance to the other two. Colonia and Assoluta are different interpretations of the same theme, a traditional EDC, and both came out in the early 20th century. I prefer Assoluta to Colonia, but I prefer the similar Penhaligons Castile to both. Intensa, is supposed to be a "modernized" reinterpretation of the original two, but IMO, it's quite a departure. Heavy leather and citrus, it smells really good, and definitely worthy of a try.

Colonia is supposedly a 1916 classical Italian eau with a brisk citrus top and an extremely rosy heart (believe me you've never smelled rose this naked before even if you have worn Floris no 89). ADP Colonia is at the barrel of the same gun as Roger et Gallet, Jean Marie Farina, and others who stand accused of grand forgeries. The Good Life who is an expert in all things cologne backs up ADP so who can argue? Certainly not I. Assolute and Intensa are supposedly more concentrated versions, but smell to modern for my tastes.

+1, down to the last word. I didn't buy Intensa blind, but I might as well have. I made a huge mistake, because once the excitement of the purchase wore off, I realized "Damn, this stuff is practically 100% IsoESuper! Or at least it seems that way to my Iso-sensitive nose. Very synthetic smell overall, wheareas Colonia and Assoluta smell more natural, or perhaps they cloak their synthetic aromachemicals more effectively than Intensa.

    Another vote for Assoluta.

The white musk in the base gives it depth and serious longevity.
ointments and perfume delight the heart....

I like Assoluta the most. Something in Intensa smelled off, And the original simply fades away far too quickly. Assoluta also lasts a really long time on my skin, especially for an Eau De Cologne. 6+ hours. Assoluta has quickly become one of my favorites. Perfect for warmer climates, and works well as a casual frag and/or suit frag. Elegance in a bottle.

I like Colonia the best. It has a rose-heart on top of a classic EDC and it is beautiful. Wonderful herbs and citrus. Oversimplifed interpretation of Assoluta is that you take out the rose and put in a woody base and that is it. I like it, but not enough to buy. I share the dislike for Intensa. To me it feels harsh and synthetic.
