Chanel Pour Monsieur.
I think that today Don Draper might wear Egoiste, Tobacco Vanille or Bois du Portugal.
Chanel Pour Monsieur.
Frank No. 2 Los Angeles
Eau Sauvage, Chanel For Men. An old Guerlain or two. Dunhill names might be a little too recent.
I'd imagine Old Spice as well.
If he was to go for a designer frag, probably something from Chanel... maybe Cuir de Russie?

Something not worn by just every man, with some snob appeal — something like Fougère Royale.
Since it was discontinued in the 50's, maybe he managed to go through a bottle of two.

brut, canoe, english leather, english leather lime...or just some aftershave like aqua velva.
I imagine he would smell of cigarettes and alcohol mainly, but there would be a little something lurking under those scents. A manly, spicy scent. Not sure quite what though...

If they had been around in the 1960's I would say Green Irish Tweed or Bois Du Portugal.
Brooks Brothers 1818. the smell of "old money".
Creed Original Vetiver

I wonder what JASON from TRUE BLOOD would wear..... He is also gorgeous.
Don Draper would have NEVER worn anything even remotely related to the current trends in frangrance. He is a man, historically, before REAL MEN (VETS) bought such things.

Rive gauche or chergui.
1. Old Spice
3. Hooker Spit (his favorite)
Well, as of last week's episode we now have confirmation that Don Draper "sure does smell good," according to Pete Campbell. It's now 1969 . . . what do we think he's wearing these days? Also, what do we think Lou had his secretary buy for his wife from Saks? Shalimar is probably a safe bet. Could anyone identify any of the bottles on Megan's dresser? . . . there were quite of few of them.
Old Spice seems most reasonable to me- just something simple and classic, you know, like English Leather, maybe Pinaud's Clubman. But later, as he gets more wealthy, maybe Aqua di Parma, Aramis, or Lagerfeld. Nothing super expensive or ostentatious. He's pretty conservative. I am trying to picture what one would see if they opened up his medicine cabinet.
The"What would he/she wear" threads belong in the Fragrance Game forum, so I'm moving it there.

There is no cure for curiosity."

Whatever it was, he must have been using it in enormous amounts in order to cover the scents of all the women he slept with from his wives
Something that cuts through all the cigarette smoke. Definitely some sort of fougere or maybe even a chypre. Brut or Eau Sauvage perhaps?
Nice-- jarrodrocks- maybe the old school original, Fougère Royale. The bottle would not look out of place on the bathroom shelf in his fancy New York apt. Actually, dang, I think you are spot on... Brut in the first seasons, and Eau Sauvage in the late seasons.

I remember in the first season some of the girls were talking about the one guy that does all the artwork for the agency. They were talking about his cologne. They said he wore a different fragrance then the rest of the guys at work. They said it smelled French if I remember correctly. Probably a Guerlain if I had to guess.
