Default Which 70s/80s inexpensive "power frag" do you wear most often?

Some I didn't cite, such as Lomani, because I knew it would not be a BN favorite.

EDIT: Obvious spelling error: Trussari should be Trussardi.

Great poll. I'd say Yatagan, although Quorum is a close second and if Zino had been on there, that would have been a contender, too.

Aramis and Zino (among others) are a bit more expensive, so I didn't include them, and I could only list a maximum of 20, so I decided to go with these (but I did forget One Man Show).

Yatagan. It's the only inexpensive power frag I wear somewhat regularly. The next most worn for me would be Salvador Dali PH.

    Azzaro; I'm wearing it now!

Where the heck is Kouros on this list?? Too expensive?

I don't know if Aramis and Zino are that expensive. Of your list, I do wear Yatagan. I love and wear Zino too.
I also had re-purchased (after several years) Azzaro and Montana but gave APH away and want to sell Montana. I'm just not enjoying them as much anymore.

I own and love Z14 and Francesco Smalto and I am eager to get Trussardi Uomo ASAP.

I think in LT's (and TS's) "guide book," it is said that Passion by Elizabeth Taylor is like Z-17 in drag. I guess that was a mistake and it was supposed to be Z-14, so there's another one to try. LOL.

I have to say, I don't wear any of the ones that are listed. But I do think Paco Rabanne is an amazing creation.

I totally agree- Paco is truly a great scent. I'll always own a bottle and wear it. Although I don't personally think it quite has the intensity of a true "powerscent", it is a powerhouse in its hairy-chested attitude and spirit.

For frequency of use, Trussardi Uomo all the way.

It's one of the few on the list that I own, aside from Quorum.

I'm a little surprised Grey Flannel wasn't on there, but it may be more "powerhouse" than "power" scent.

I never thought of Grey Flannel as a "power frag," perhaps because it is simpler than the others. I'm really surprised, even only several hours later, that nobody chose the Montana red box.

    Thank you, Mr. Stinky!

Great list, I do wear Azzaro more often than the ones on the list that I do own.

Ah yes, Giorgio and Giorgio Red have come down in price and are now in the "cheapo" range. Forgot about that too! LOL.

I don't wear any of those. In fact, I think the only ones I've smelled are Z-14 and Azzaro...

Good point. "None" should have been an option !

Yatagan on me doesn't behave 'powerfully'. It's almost bashful in its sillage. Smalto is great provided I apply judiciously. Oscar's too thick and dense. Azzaro's too arid. Lapidus' pineapple is too searing. Paco's changed and comes across as harsh these days. Z-14's too flat and smells cheap. Sung's a dense, cheap cloud. Quorum's good, but I seldom reach for it for some reason.

I am wearing Halston Z-14 today. I love the way that the spicy notes warm up a dry, mossy base. Not a direction that many dry, woody fragrances go in. By the way, I had not really appreciated Z-14's structure until getting Guerlain's Mitsouko and smelling the similarities and the differences. Wonderful.

Of this list, Z-14 is the one I've worn most historically, However, though I wore Azzaro Pour Homme just yesterday, I have worn Pierre Cardin Pour Monsieur most frequently in the recent past.

    Easy, Montana (red box)

I've got a good handful of fave cheapies new and old, but Montana easily ranks as the most satisfying for me - scent appeal vs cost.

Z-14 and Yatagan are more or less tied of those listed. I probably wear Zino more often.
