    Default Vintage costume jewelry?

I'm not sure if this belongs here or in Off Topic, but:

I've very recently developed an interest in vintage costume jewelry. It's a brand new interest - so far I've pursued it to the point of three pairs of rhinestone earrings and one book from Amazon.

I'm not seeing a lot of forums or websites on the topic. Can anyone suggest some?

    Thanks!

Don't know of any forums but you can learn a lot by browsing auctions on ebay. I have some pieces I bought there, but I only look for deals and never pay much.

I used to find great deals on vintage costume jewelry on ebay, but I haven't been looking lately. I love vintage pins and brooches. Before ebay I'd find them in thrift shops. I love antique stick pins too. Hmm...you might have jumpstarted my old habit by starting this thread!

I don't collect it and hardly ever wear any jewelry except the hoops in my ears, but do have one piece I love, a 1940's collar necklace from Afghanistan. Tribal! Coins and glass, heavy duty. Oh, and a Taxco silver belt from 1950's mexico. Though I guess that one isn't 'costume'.

I agree with whoever said browsing EBay is a good way to see a lot of this.

I too am interested in vintage jewelry and finding forums where people are discussing it. Have you found anything helpful since you posted this back in 2009?

You sharing this suggestion here is very nice. I also like to wear jewelery and i also like vintage jewelery or its all collection of jewelery. Its have very nice collection and its used good quality of material to make jewelery which is not harmful of any type of skin.Generally i do shopping on ebay it gives great deal on each vintage jewelery so that i would like to suggest you that you can try to buy vintage jewelery through ebay.
