Thread: date cologne

    Default date cologne

If you have a first date - which is your cologne of choice for that scenario?

I usually go with Adp Colonia or Assoluta or Baie De Geneivre,
Vintage Tabarome, Havana or Body Kouros (all a bit more risky.)

I wouldn't want something extremely loud, or something that's very challenging, I like easy going and easily likable.

    like say...
    Day:
    Live Jazz or Unforgivable

    Night:
D&G The one : Soft and sensual.
    Opium PH, lightly applied.
LF: CAP/LID for Creed Original vetiver and Creed Millesime Imperiale, 75ml. Please pm me.. Thanks!

    I agree with Tim.

Day: Green Valley, Green Irish Tweed

    Night: Millesime Imperial, Endymion
    Lately I've been wearing:
Windsor, Bois de Santal, Original Santal, Elixir, Douro, Endymion, Reflection, Arcus, Marwah

I usually go with sweet and masculine
Hanae Mori and Michael Kors for men
Top 5 in rotation: Dior Homme, Pure Malt, Egoiste, Gucci Envy, Platinum Egoiste

Happiness is perfume, you can't pour it on somebody else without getting a few drops on yourself.

    Depends on the person.

Tee hee. Only basing this from my own 'drobe :

If you want to come off as sweet and sensitive (hahaha!)
    Estee Lauder Pleasures for Men
    >> recently got "awwwwws" from the opposite sex when I was wearing this recently. Basing it on that

If you want to come off as the manly-man (appealing to her "I'm-looking-for-someone-just-like-my-Dad-but-I-can-snog-later-on" thoughts?)
    YSL Rive Gauche

Noticed that members of the opposite sex react more to the familiar rather than what BNers think are the best...like how women would instantly notice scents like Fierce, Acqua di Gio or Cool Water and think this guy is tops (even if they can't distinguish one from the other)...like at the least the guy even bothered to put on something. And please, on a first date, not too much, be easy on the trigger

I like D&G PH, Gucci Envy, and Ambre Sultan for dates. But, I also like those for all the time.

Really depends on the date, person, etc. Id say whatever it is, dont over-apply, as your date may not like it!
If I were to delve back into the dating world, something like Silver Mountain Water, Tom Ford for Men, or Kiton Black would seem appropriate - all three are hard not to like, without massive sillage, but still smell good.
Looking for: Andy Tauer - L'air du Desert Morocain & Incense Extreme

Most of the fragrance that work are not considered cool here. Women love

    Armani code
    D&g light blue
    Burberry brit
    Polo black
    Diesel fuel for life
    Ysl l'homme

L Anarchiste and Encre Noir, but that is just me, both go well with me.

What "works" or not is individual. If you want to play it as safe as possible, you go the generic route. This won't work if the OP is sick of the "fresh" scents most guys are wearing.

I say wear what you like, and hope that you meet someone who appreciates that.
