I love the get togethers too. These people understand me.

It has been a great year, though sadly I couldn't get away for the meet-ups.
    Hightlights:

    1. The month of March, spent in Paris, sniffing and chatting in all the perfume boutiques and at the Osmotheque, riding the metro after being perfumed head to toe by the SAs at Geurlain, walking on a cloud of Bois d'Armenie, Iris ganache, and Chamade ... breathing with my head in those perfume columns at Frederic Malle!

    2. Winning a drawing at Saks that has a different Bond No. 9 delivered to my door every month for year. This month was Fire Island.

    3. The Profumo sample groups fizzled, but were wonderful while they lasted!

The meetups seem to have been in the major cities of the US or Europe. Did Melbourne Australia ever have one (or, at least in any other major city in Australia)?

Go for it, organize one for Melbourne! I think we have enough participants (look, there are only 4 people in Hong Kong, but they are meeting up regularly!).

What she said ^^^. Practice meeting up at any time, then do it again for the next worldwide meet-up.

My perfume highlight of 2009 was definitely the Basenotes meet up in
London at the end of August. Fab day out!

How wonderful! I have to own up to not knowing that there were enough different Bond No. 9 s to do one a month for a year

I would also add the day I sniffed Guerlain Apres l'Ondee - of course I always loved perfume but this was an ethereal experience. Perfume as magic.
