Default Identifying old school Paco Rabanne Pour Homme

I'm sure someone (but almost certainly Ericrico) will be able to clarify this for me.
I understand that "proper" PRPH refers to any formulations up to about 1999/2000. I'm also aware that the easiest way to identify an older bottle is by the large "P" symbol.
I am not certain if this applies also to the aftershaves too though. I wouldn't normally bother but I imagine that the vintage AS is probably pretty good in terms of sillage and longevity.
Anybody know if this is a reliable way to determine an AS bottle's vintage? (the large "P" )
    Thanks in advance.

This, I feel, is the definitive thread.

Thanks Neal, some food for thought there.
