    Well in most continental European countries every citizen is required to have an ID card, unlike the UK and the USA. It is a very common requirement during purchases or altogether situations where you need to legally identify yourself. It is a bit of a catch if you don't have an equivalent, but usually a driver's license or a residence card, or bank invoice or such ought to suffice...

    EDIT: or your passport, naturally.

    This sephora.fr site is strange. I tried to put 10 bottles to my basket but it gave me only 3 with message "La quantité demandée est indisponible. Elle a été ajustée automatiquement dans votre panier, à partir des stocks disponibles.:. The same thing happened when I did it couple of days ago (actually few minutes after link was posted here). Now, I cant speak French a **** but this "error message" is 99% that there are only 3 in stock. Now we have couple of people saying that they already ordered couple of them but sephora.fr still have in stock. There have to be something REALLY wrong with that site and I really doubt that those orders wont be cancelled. Anyway good luck to those that tried it . I have Pure Malt already and its nice juice (but right now Taste of Fragrance is my favourite A*Men)

    I've emailed Sephora FR about what they need for ID, am yet to receive an email back despite sending it yesterday. I only have 72 hours as well.

    I don't know how I'm going to get them the photocopy unless I send it by post as I have no scanner.

    Lol. I didnt want to order 10bottles. I was just curious about their stock level. Hell, I didnt order even those 3 bottles. I dont need them and its not worth the hassle to sell them. And to buy them for overseas basenoters? Shipping perfumes with air shipping is prohibited in majority of countries.

    I sent them an email yesterday to confirm my identity but haven't had a single email from them about the order. Absolutely rubbish example of customer service if they'll randomly send out peoples smaller orders and hold back others with no semblence of contact.

    I've just completed my order and just left the id number blank. I got a confirmation but everything is in French so I can only hope it arrives. We'll just have to see I guess.

    I would be more than happy to help anyone but I'm waiting to see if they honour this current order first. I had an email from them about 20 minutes ago asking for the ID to be sent to:

    servicecommercial@sephora.fr

    which is different to their regular customer services email. I guess since its reached this point and I've just sent the info off again the order should be good.

    Yeah I've been checking too....I'm sure the US stores/website will be receiving them as well. I think Thierry Mugler is based out of France so that would make sense as to why the France site got the first redistribution of the bottles.

    This is almost funny now. I wish we had a French speaking member who could call and have them waive shipping charges or discount the order or something.

    Kron - Sorry again for the trouble. Really appreciate you going out of your way, and had I known it would be such an inconvenience I wouldn't have asked.

    I just wrote to Sephora here to let them know what a horrible experience this has been, and to make Sephora France aware of how greatly they are inconveniencing their customers.
    Disgusting how customer service varies so greatly from country to country.
