    Default Help! A request...

    Hi guys!

I'm searching a fragance with the next characteristics:

    - a "dusty" (but not powdery at all) quality scent
    - with rose (in a masculine/unisex way) and incense
    - not too sweet but not too green
    - no vanilla note, please (I hate vanilla fragances)
    - a bit deep/dark
    - good longevity
    - with some "aura", light but present sillage, if it's possible...

    Some suggestion? I'm lost...

Czech & Speake No.88 has those notes with the addition of a slight "soapy" quality as well.

Great frag! Longevity is an issue with some people's body chemistry. Lasts a good 6 - 8 hours on me though. May want to order a sample before committing to a full bottle.

Le Labo Rose 31. Dusty, smoky rose, no vanilla, not green, slightly sweet, dark woods and musks, lasts for ages on me.

L'Artisan Parfumers Voleur du Roses meets most of the requirements imho...

Both No 88 and Rose 31 fit the bill, although they are quite different from one another. Rose 31 has a dry cedar meets carrot soup drydown that's really nice. No 88 is a deeper, darker rose scent with a soapier drydown. Both great in their own ways.

First one on my mind as well.
Although a 'litlle' drak is to little said.

How about Bois d'Argent? Definitely has that dusty-sweet thing going on. No rose,t hough.
It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely products of a deranged imagination.

Lyric Man might also be worth a look.

Rose 31 will likely give you exactly what you're after.

Deep Rose by Montale would do the trick.

Paestum Rose...or Clarins' Par Amour for a cheaper alternative, although PR will fill both the rose & incense requirement.

Tauer's Incense Rose comes to mind. Similar to Rose 31, but without the cumin note (or at least not as pronounced).

    Lots of good suggestions above.

Voleur de Roses might be the most "dusty" of those that I've tried.
Incense Rose by Tauer is probably the best for incense.
Opinions vary a bit on Rose 31...rose is present but it turns more woodsy/spicy to me.
No. 88 has a foul note that I can't deal with, but it's a good one to try.

I may have to ry Jubilation XXV. The descrip above seems to hit your wants head on.

Why didn't anyone mention 10 Corso Como?

Rose, geranium, incense, sandalwood and oud. It's light and dusty and woody. It lasts forever but its sillage is quite restrained. Definitely give it a sniff!
