Burberry is expending their Burberry Sport line with a fragrant portfolio presented with attractive photos. Inter parfums and Burberry are launching Burberry Sport for Women and Burberry Sport for Men in February 2010. The perfumes accompany the existing sports range of this brand line which includes clothes, glasses, bags, accessories and watches so far.
Sports theme is supported by rubber materials used for package, graphic logo, energetic advertising campaign, as well as juicy compositions. A red rubber glove accompanies each perfume flacon and can be found in outer carton. As for composition, designers' wish was to create fragrances in which you can feel movement, dynamics, energy, and feeling of liveliness.
The edition for women was composed as a juicy floral, while the version for men is energetic and citrusy woody. Burberry Sport for Women was created by Olivier Polge and Beatrice Piguet of mandarin and sea salt in the very beginning. A heart encompasses floral notes of magnolia, honeysuckle and petit grain, while a base features solar accords, musk and cedar.
Burberry Sport for Men was created by Sonia Constant, Nathalie Gracia-Cetto and Antoine Maisondieu of such top notes as ginger, grapefruit and wheat. A heart includes sea accords, red ginger and juniper berries, while a base finishes with dry amber, cedar and musk.
I'll be getting a bottle just for the red rubber glove
Sound interestnig , can't wait ...

Tried the new Burberry today. That's a ginger type of "sporty" fragrances. Somehow Burberry Sport is a lighter (or more delicate) copy of Dior Homme Sport, it can be named Dior Homme Sport Eau Fraiche / L'eau / Fresh. The ginger in Burberry is not so loud, and the ending notes are similar to cK free. To my taste the Burberry is a better version of DHS, which seemed to be too strong for me.
P.S. The bottle and the package are amazing

So this is out already?
I love the bottle
In Europe - yes.
And the female counterpart is really nothing special. Ordinary flower scent, not sporty at all.
I smelled the womens version this weekend. Smells fresh and youthful, but nothing original. Have yet to see the mens version.
That bottle looks absolutely dire...
It was terrible marketing strategy to make the bottle blood red reminiscent of Xeryus Rouge with black rubber and naming the fragrance Burberry Sport. This bottle looks very sinister (almost demonic if you have an imagination). Its very spicy and I get ginger, cardamom, and something that smells like cinnamon. My first sampling was hasty as I had to get back to work. But the fact remains that there is nothing sporty about it. I was pleased to find something different from most designer offerings though and its a very interesting scent which TOTALLY took my by surprise. I will try it out a few more times to decide whether I really like it or not.

I tried this in London over the weekend. It's laughably similar to Dior Homme Sport, except has noticeably less longevity. Aside from that, they're almost identical.
Very similar than Dior Homme Sport. Actually it's the same fragrance.
If you already have Dior Homme Sport don't bother buying this new Burberry.
However, it's a great scent....if you like Dior Homme Sport
Is it just me that groans every time I see "Sport" added to a fragrance line?
In a world where people smell bad, it is the personal responsibility of every Basenoter to improve the world one SotD at a time...
What I have to say about this excellent new perfume...
to underscore its strong part in SWOT-analysis...
I like the great red rubber bracelet!
Vetiver The Great!!!
This is a real ginger bomb. I haven't tried DHS so I can't agree or disagree to the similarities, but I don't think it's anything like anything else they had on the shelves there - hence I'd not call it generic or uninteresting. Interestingly, I have thought I wanted and have been looking for a ginger prominent fragrance for summer and yet I found this to be too gingery. Not actually too much ginger in the opening, but it didn't evolve enough to stay interesting.
I really *loved* the women's version on my g/f - it smelled like a slightly lighter version of APOM Femme by MFK.
i smelled it, it's ok but i am not impressed it smells too strong for a sport frag
I do think the marketing is a bit weird on this one. It's too strong and spicy for a sport frag and as mentioned, the bottle is anything but sporty.
Testers of this amazingly uninteresting and generic scent are now avaiable at discount sites: http://www.bigdiscountfragrances.com...ampaign=mybuys
I noticed the new bottles in the store today, but I passed the display case without any problems! Fragrances with "sport" in their name, works as a "turn off" on me..
I know its not exactly the same but doesnt the bottle look suspiciously similar to CK Contradiction??
I smelled this one at Dillard's today. My wife said it was "harsh" smelling. It's nothing special, that's for sure.
Got to smell the men's version this weekend. It's not bad, nothing unique, but not bad. I hate the bottle mostly because it derails from the Burberry look which I dig.
i cant believe it, i tried today, i wonder the reason to release a copycat of dior homme sport but in a friendly and light version, in other side the women version is nice, nothing new but the musky-floral base is lovely.
