Can you give us a little bit of restriction? For instance, does she live year round in Florida? Has she expressed any kind of preferences scentwise?

I can tell you my top five, but they're not going to be anyone else's top five, you know.
    1) Henry Dunay Sabi
    2) Bigarade Concentree
    3) Black Vetyver Cafe
    4) Sel de Vetiver
    5) Jicky

Hi, Jack. it's nice to have you back. Long time no see! Only five? That's tricky. I'd leave out heavy ambers like Tabac Blond so my picks are:

    Profumum - Neroli
Chanel - Rue Cambon #31, No. 19 (vintage EDP preferred)
    Ormonde Jayne - Woman
    Guerlain - Sous Les Vent
+extra 1 since good no.19 is hard to find - K. Mecheri - Iris Pourpre

Perhaps more information about the lady would help us help you. Approximate age, outgoing or introvert, what does she wear now? These would be instrumental in guiding you to better probability of success. Here are my blind suggestions: Mitsouko, Shalimar, Sous Le Vent, Chamade, and Chanel Bois des Iles.

Henry Dunay Sabi is available only from Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. If you think she would like a full floral with some green in it, PM me and I'll send you a sample.

The Perfumed Court offers the others.

Well, Silverbullet, I'll give it a shot with some of my favs:

    1) Douce Amere - Oriental with a twist. Cool and warm, smooth - chocolate for a twist. Love it.
    2) Balmain de Balmain - green and green, with some patch to keep it from going over the top. Lovely development, bold and a little daring for your outgoing friend.
    3) L'Artisan Figuier Extreme - smooth, fig plus. Daring in an almost masculine way, but oh so smooth.
    4) NR for Her - not green, but musky, woody, light and beautiful.
    5) Shalimar - beautiful, classy and perfect in so many ways. Not a stretch, but maybe somewhat for someone not used to the classics. A good start, easy to wear, would fit your weather in evenings for sure.

Opps, and Mauboussin. Sounds perfect for her. Well, that was six. This is hard.

So I hear you asking for - you stud muffin you - is OUR faves. Not recommendations? But you seem to be looking also (cuz you asked about samples).

You say she likes Chanel Chance - here's the skinny on that ....http://www.basenotes.net/ID10210638.html.....with some reviewers' comparisons and preferences along the same lines. A handful of samples is - to my mind - the best perfume gift for someone when you know what they like but don't want to give more of the same.

Anyway - here's MY five warm weather faves (currently - may change tomorrow):

    BandBW Coconut Lime Verbena
    Bond #9 Fire Island
    Miller Harris Figue Amere
Borsari - Viaggo in Italia - Aqua Dela Macchia Mediterranea
    Lili Bermuda South Water

It's cold here too - but I'm wearing my warm weather frags anyway.

    Mid-weather frags:

    Patou Joy
    Patou 1000
    Guerlain L'Heure Bleu
    Guerlain Mitsouko
    Keiko Mecheri Ume

    Cold weather frags:

    Parfum d'Empire Ambre Russe
    Parfum d'Empire Fougere Bengale
    Regency Kolnisch Jugsten
    Keiko Mecheri Loukhoum
    Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille

Hope this helps...Chanel "people" tend to enjoy other Chanel fragrances too. (I do, anyway.)
Chanel Christalle Eau Verte, Eau Premiere, & 31 Rue Cambon. Then Acqua di Parma Magnolia Nobile, L'Artisan's Mure et Musc. (I wore this in Florida last summer over Korres Fig body butter. It was fantastic!)

I'd suggest one more, just because I like it...Heeley Figuier.

Have you considered a dartboard and a blindfold?

Paste the name of all the perfumes mentioned, spin around and . . .

Hey Jack, nice to hear you have a lady in tow. Does this mean we have to stop teasing you now?

I'd add Molinard de Molinard (and I'll cheerfully send you a sample if you PM me your land address).
Creed's Virgin Island Water and Bulgari Black are faves of mine which you might well have in your wardrobe.
Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterranee and Kelly Caleche are warm-weather faves of mine, though there are two more Hermes Jardins for your lady to try.
Personally, I'm reaching for L'Air de Rien all the time at the moment, but it's a bit skanky (only in the company of perfumistas and colognophiles could I call something skanky and have that be a compliment). Maybe Miller Harris' Terre de Bois - that's a nice, fresh, cologne kind of fragrance.
Ava Luxe No 23 I wore to death last summer.
And figs - the whole lot from L'Artisan's classics to Diptique to all the other figs out there now. Fig is so nice in warm weather.
Bronze Goddess - Estee Lauder. That's nice too.
