    Default something not sweet

at my holidays im going skiing and i will visit sephora too, every frag i own is pretty sweet (1milion, back xs, Pi, hanae mori, angel man, burberry london, joop thrill, escada magnetism, euphoria intense and more) and my girlfriend does not like sweet fragrances, even Tauers LDDM is too sweet for her ( i know she liked C&S Citrus Paradisi on me but it is bitter grapefruit for me and im not a huge fan of this, and its rather after shower+go to bed scent)
and btw im not into cirtusy and aquatic scents but if there is one good just post it

what should I look for? (i had spample of terre and got decant from my friend, this i will be using at skiing so any other options plz)

its sephora so pretty mainstream responces plz and nothing for older crowd im 24

thanks for all responces im leaving on 29 Dec so i got some time to think what to look for

A lot of non-sweet fragrances are aimed at the older crowd

I'd recommend Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey Intense - Very bitter on me
Bvlgari Extreme - Very bitter on me too

If you are really feeling hairy then go for Caron's Yatagan, it may be for the older crowd but I do well with it.. I'm 20.

Lalique's Encre Noire is *almost* void of sweetness. Just full of vetiver goodness.

sephora carries grey vetiver, guerlain vetiver, and Bvlgari ph, none are sweet, all are wearable @ 24.

Gucci Pour Homme has a sweet element to it, but it'd probably pass the girlfriend test and is actually available at Sephora.

Already mentioned but both encre noire and yatagan sprung instantly to mind. Cabochard (marketed to women) is also an excellent option.

Of things I have definitely seen at Sephora:

    TF Grey Vetiver
    Dior Eau Sauvage
    Guerlain Vetiver
    Gucci PH
Hermes Eau d'Orange Verte (unisex, but usually on the Men's side)
Bulgari Eau Parfumee au The Vert (unisex, but usually on the Women's side)

I personally found XS pour homme to be rather sweet, but that's just me! Smells great though.

Try Narciso Rodriguez for Him and Prada Infusion d'Homme.

+1 on Frederic Malle's vetiver extraordinaire & Prada's Infusion d'Homme. Encre Noir is excellent too.

    Other recs:-
L'Eau Bleue d'Issey by Isset Miyake - green, more green, then blue (splash!)
Serge Noire by Serge Lutens - smoky, burnt incense
Inside Men by Trussardi - deep, dark woods
Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beene - bitter smoky green
Bowling Green by Geoffrey Beene - spicy green
Vetyver by Lanvin - grassy vetiver

    ....and more!

My favorite three non-sweet fragrances are:

    Yatagan by Caron
    Francesco Smalto by Francesco Smalto
    Visit by Azzaro

There isn't a touch of sweetness in any of these. Dry as a bone!

I'd consider "dry" the opposite of sweet. So here are some recommendations in my "dry" category:

Azzaro Visit. Really spicy, with a lot of pepper going on. And a bit of cedar underneath.
Fahrenheit Absolute Even spicier. Incensey. In fact, the only incensey frag I really like. Very, very dry. Definitely the least sweet frag I have.
Aramis Havana It does have a bit of sweetness underneath, but it's very well blended with the bitter tobacco up top, which never really fades.
Dunhill X-Centric A bit like Visit, but with a sort of strange note to it that I can't place, and not quite as peppery. A little sweeter than Visit.
Current Wardrobe (in no particular odor, HAHA!):

Creed Green Irish Tweed, Creed Silver Mountain Water, Creed Himalaya, Creed Tabarome, Aramis Havana, Bond No.9 Central Park, Trussardi Inside, Fahrenheit Absolute, Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit De L'Homme, Guerlain L'Instant Homme, David Beckham Signature, Cartier Declaration Essence, Azzaro Visit, Azzaro Silver-Black, Azzaro Pure Vetiver, Dunhill X-Centric, Perry Ellis Reserve, Armani Attitude, Armani Mania, Bvlgari Aqva, Jacomo Paradox Green, Canali Summer Night, Kouros Cologne Sport, Realm Men, Lolita Lempicka Au Masculine, St. Patrick, Cuba (Red, Green, Gold, Black, Grey, Brown, Maya), Opium Pour Homme EDP, Banana Republic Cordovan, Amouage Epic Man, J. Peterman 1902, Bogart City Tower.
