    Default L'Occitane Cherry Blossom

    Hi guys,

    My mum is a big fan of this and I wanted to get her something that has a similiar scent, but from a different manufacturer. Would anyone be able to give me some suggestions? I check on the database but the Cherry Blossom doesn't have a description of all the notes.

    Is there something that is bothering you about L'Occitane? There is no lack of Cherry Blossom products from them, at decent prices, too:

    Other manufacturers' Cherry Blossoms are:
    -- Bath and Body Works Cherry Blossom (floral fruity, sweet) and Japanese Cherry Blossom (their best seller, floral-oriental);
    -- Salvatore Ferragamo Parfum Subtil (sweet flowers on a fuzzy musky base);
    -- Kenzo Le Monde Est Beau (floral-oriental, sakura blossom is paired with citrus and warm woody-vanillic base, good longevity and, in general, a very harmonious composition);
    -- Annayake Hanami (fruity loral with plum blossom and peony on top of cherry blossom);
    -- Fragonard Cerisier en Fleurs (have not tried it);
    -- Guerlain Cherry Blossom (EdT is quite boring with a typical Guerlain base, perfume is rather expensive and hard to find but sublime!) and Cherry Blossom Fruity and a few more.

    In general, I have heard that Japanese perfumeurs are especially good at recreating the authentic cherry blossom fragrance: Shiseido Sakura Blossom, Kanebo, Pola, etc.

    L'Occitane's pyramids are often very simple:

    Cherry Blossom Eau de Toilette
    Top Note: sweet & juicy with Cherry and Freesia
    Middle Note: Floral and Feminine with Cherry Blossom and Lily of the valley
    Base Note: Warm and Woody with Amber and Musk.

    you could also try:
    The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom (somewhat harsher than L'Occitane), or
    Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Cherry Blossom (unfortunately short-lived)
